The Chequers Inn – LymingtonWe had a walk to Chequers along the Marshlands and both decided to have the Dorset pork Roast. We both enjoyed the meal, service was good and was value for money. Will definitely will go again
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonAte here on Sunday 7th June 2026. I ordered the roast chicken and my mum ordered the roast lamb. The food was delicious and plenty of it. My only criticism would be that the plates were cold. A nice hot plate, in my opinion, is essential. And the cauliflower and broccoli cheese would have been better if it was a cheese sauce, as it seemed to be just a piece of cheese melted on top.
The Seahorse – GosportWe visit regularly and the food is always great with lots of options for meat eaters and vegans alike. Good service and lovely atmosphere - all in all great value for money
Baja Mexicali – FarehamGreat little restaurant, fab freshly cooked food that is reasonably priced and great friendly staff.
Baja Mexicali – Farehamgreat evening, great food, polite staff, very clean and good price, and the drinks are reasonable as well, overall excellent.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – PortsmouthFood was lovely and the staff were even better. They’d overhead us celebrating a birthday and wrote a hand written card for my partner. Would have been great if they had some beers on tap and maybe an offer cocktail (without being too cheeky)
Pacifico – SouthseaWe love Dan and the team! The new menu offers tasty small plates - love the pork belly! We even got married in the newly renovated restaurant area and Dan was so helpful and accommodating!
The Florence – SouthseaWe had a beautiful meal and the service was friendly. It’s a cut above your usual pub grub but also reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend. We were even able to have the dog with us. I had the Tuscan chicken which was delicious, others had the burger and fish of the day (sea bass risotto), all of which were apparently equally beautifully cooked. We couldn’t resist the crème brûlée with shortbread for pudding and again it was perfect.
The Florence – SouthseaAs usual the food and the service was excellent, we had a birthday celebration and evetone were very welcoming and attentive.
The Florence – SouthseaWe had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Master Builder. It was my Uncles 90th birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were great very helpful. Will certainly go again.
The Master Builder – SouthamptonAlthough the decor and food was good, it's very expensive for the portion sizes. Our waiter was not very knowledgeable and we had to repeat ourselves many times. We enjoyed the food but we wouldn't go back.
Pacifico – SouthseaDelicious as always the meats were lovely and tender definitely will be coming again
The Master Builder – SouthamptonHad a lovely lunch followed by a superb music act! The staff are so much fun , the food is excellent, we had roasts and the cod all of it was great! No deserts as I my 2 on the menu! They were accommodating for my celiac friend! it's a real pub with atmosphere and characters!
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonThis pub is rapidly becoming our 'local'. We moved to the area 18 months ago but spent the first year working on the house and garden, so now we are out and about enjoying ourselves. We can walk to it in fifteen minutes so that is an obvious attraction, but it would mean nothing if the food, staff and general atmosphere were not as lovely as they are. Definitely a "thumbs up" to you from us.
The Half Moon – PetersfieldExcellent food and friendly service. The best carvery I know.
The Master Builder – SouthamptonAnother great meal at The Platform. Handy for the onward journey to St Mary’s. Good food here.
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonAwful organisation even before we entered the restaurant. Huge group of about 30 10 year olds. All running around, shouting and screaming. Touching food and taking piles and piles. Although not necessarily the restaurants fault I feel they should have rule in place for this and ensure there is a decent adult to child ratio. Always a great selection which is why we tend to go there. I had one bit of beef in black bean and crunched something hard, had to spit it out. It put me off eating anything else! Won’t be rushing back especially as it was nearly £90 for 4 of us and we definitely didn’t eat £90 worth of food!
