Got to thank Tony and his team for their great pub, quality food and friendliness.

I run away travel for football supporters and we've been feed and watered three times on our travels up north from Milton Keynes in the last year.

Excellent food and service every time for up to 100 of us, they even laid on a full carvery at 10am on our trip to Hartlepool and we've got three more trips to The Black Bull coming up this season. We can't wait as it really adds to our day out.

We stop all over the country on our travels and we've made it our pub of the year.

10 out of 10. Good pub food, in a clean and lovely pun environment. The place is lovely and spotlessly clean, the service was crisp and correct amount of attentive the food was lovely. Ate on a Monday night and the place was thriving. Definitely coming again, probably this weekend.

Just had a meal, and was lovely. Was my mums b'day party and we turned all 25 of us and we were treat really well. The pub was actually quite busy, but they coped well and all our food arrived at the same time. I had delicious barnsley chops. Yummy indeed, most of the party went for the 'all you can eat' carvery which I am told was lovely.

SATURDAY NIGHT I HAD A MEAL WITH MY GIRLFRIEND WE HAD NOT BEEN FOR WEEKS. THE BAR STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND SO WERE THE RESTAURANT STAFF.
WE HAD TWO MIXED GRILLS COOKED TO PERFECTION, WE WILL BE SURE TO RETURN IN THE FUTURE. GOOD PUB FOOD COOKED TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD.

Great pub, just eaten from the Carvery, which must be the best in the area. I had all 3 meats and helped myself to loads of veggies and roast potatoes! Probably the largest Yorkshire puddings Ive seen in a long time. Amazing value for money. Normal menu also available.

Great place, great value for money

Completely changed! Same owners as Spindle Tree in Wakefield which has great reputation for good pub food.

We are regulars at the spindle and went along to Darrens new venture, hes got it spot on again. Black Bull menu more geared for families and lovely food again.

Service good, food good (as we expected) and lovely pub.

Great food, all homemade and hearty potions. I had homemade Black Bull Steak Pie, cracking! just lovely, my wife had a roast dinner pork & crackling I think. Smashing place, we have now booked every Sunday for our family meal, good prices too!

No longer part of the Brewers Fayre chain, private owners now called Black Bull Fayre. Cute touch

Lovely food, we used to come but the food and service was poor, new owners have turned the place around very very quickly.
We ate from the senior citizens menu, lovely scampi & chips, my wife went for fresh fish & chips, it even came with bread & butter!

Lovely food, lovely service!

went for Sunday lunch with family, had a mixture of dishes from their Sunday roast menu and the standard menu.
I had a roast meat sharing platter for 4 people! amazing value beef, turkey and pork with crackling!
Food lovely, one of the best roast beef dinners I've had in a long time. Kids loved it too. Reasonable prices and great food. New owners running the place much much better. Service great too. Big car park helps too. Couldn't fault the place.

NEW PRIVATE Owners, took over the Black Bull today, open this evening and the food is soooo much better than before. Still serving real pub food but done at a good standard.

I had Black Bull burger, 2 8oz Aberdeen Angus burgers made up this monster of a burger, slices of bacon, cheese, onion rings, mushrooms and smothered in BBQ sauce. Excellent will eat their again. Best try it soon as this place is gonna be busy busy busy
