More Shuttle & Loom The recommendationsWe visited The G Spot on Friday night as a special birthday treat. What can I say the service was superb and the food fantastic. We had been meaning to go for some time, and are now looking for an excuse for a return visit.
More Gourmet Spot recommendationsYum Yum Yesssaaaahhh, That's what I'm talking about! Lots to choose from, plenty of variety! Fresh quality food! Ranges from Duck pancakes! Sweet and Sour dishes, peeking, lemon chicken, king prawns in oyster sauce and the list just goes on! If that's not enough you even get dessert options - Ice cream, Jelly, Chocolate etc, would highly recommend!
More China Buffet King recommendationsAsiana - had a meal there last night, 3 of the guests in the party of 8 were 10 minutes late. The owner/manager came over to my table and greeted me with "you have this table 7-9.15, ok?" OH THE HUMILIATION! I was so concerned as 9pm approached as they hadnt cleared our main course dishes away. We finished of our food quickly and left as soon as the dishes were taken off the table, around 9.30 but there wasn't anyone waiting, so i assume someone hadn't turned up at all! Could he not have come over and said that they had managed to seat people elsewhere? He ignored me totally as we left. Bit of a cheek really as they add service charge to the bill, around £20! Having said that - its excellent food, and the waiting staff are very good. I do hope they are not going to spoil things with such pompous arrogance.
More Asiana Fusion Restaurant recommendationsStumbled across this place whilst around town and just could not resist the prices. 2 courses for under £6.00 during happy hour ('til 7.30pm) Food was so delicious and really fast service. The calzone's are amazing. We thought because the price was so cheap, the food would be a let down, but it was the complete opposite. Interior has a very relaxing and intimate feel and the staff are really friendly, will definitely be going back.
More Luigi's recommendations2 sausage 2 bacon 2 egg chips and beans for £2.75 - what more can a hungry man ask for
More Coronation The recommendationsThis place is unbeatable on all aspects of Indian cooking from tandoori to curry. I promise you will not be disappointed. Think all the staff are on happy pills as they are always keen and willing to satisfy your requirements
More Indian Cottage Restaurant recommendationsgood food but £1 for a popadom - makes me choke on my vindaloo
More Fossway Tandoori recommendationsBest value for money with the special menu before 9pm. Also Red House Wine one of the best you can get in Newcastle.
More Koh-i-noor recommendationsI went last night before going to the nearby theatre. An ideal start to a evening. Real homemade tortilla chips and salsa arrive at the table immediately. This was followed as a huge plate of Nachos with lots of cheese and sour cream dotted with jalapenos. The standard fare of tortillas, stuffed and fried were available either with rice or chips. The re-fried beans were to die for. This was really good Tex Mex food at great price. The service was was really good. With a jug of Margaritas i could think of a better way to spend an evening in Durham.
