We had lunch there today, Tuesday. My wife and I were welcomed as soon as we entered (rare these days) we joined some friends for a refreshingly interesting meal, most staying with the £10.00 2 course lunchtime special, which included prawns with chili, calamari fritti as starters then spaghetti with meatballs, 8oz gammon 'n two eggs and Spanish omlette (which was unexpectedly cold but soon micro-ed) I had the trio of scallops on rosti with black pudding and hollondaise sauce to start £6.50, then the pasta from the special which they adjusted to £14 for my two courses. All found the food a delight, plentiful and well presented. All six of us would vote it the place that is trying hardest to please in these hard times and will return regularly. "Like The Cock at Wishaw or The Plough at Streetly, without pretence" Like Butlers with decent furniture" Like Paco's with more choice" Almost 'Mint'- like in quality of local produce"
