Cassons in Tangmere is one of those inviting places you often pass at 70mph and wonder what it might be like inside. Open since mid-2006, Graze on Western Road is Brighton & Hove's first taster restaurant and an exciting addition to the local dining scene. The menu consists of a wide range of smaller dishes, all expertly created by head chef Adrian Geddes, from which you create your own dining experience - a sort of global tapas. Alternatively, put your trust in one of the set evening menus ranging from 5 to 9 courses. All produce is fresh each day, sourced locally wherever possible and an extensive drinks menu includes a large selection of first-rate wines from around the world. Since opening in 1996, Leonardo on Hove's Church Road has established itself as one of the Sussex coast's most popular Italians. So much so, that they have recently taken over the premises next door and are in the process of expanding. Leonardo is a traditional family run restaurant but is fitted out in contemporary style with photos of movie stars adorning the walls. The pasta here is home made and as well as good choice of pizzas, the restaurant specializes in meat and fish dishes. The wine list is all-Italian and the set menus at lunch and dinner are good value.
