Very nice family run pub with good atmosphere. Restaurant is now open all week, with carvery on sundays. Carvery was very good value for money and of good quality. Was very busy but staff were quick to seat us and attentive.

The chequers is a friendly pub, with an additional restaurant with fantastic food the restaurant however is only open weekends. They have a band on Saturday night which is a guaranteed excellent night. Food is great and fairly cheap. the views over the river are lovely summer or winter. Well worth a visit.

The chequers is a good place to visit, The staff are quick and friendly and the meals are good.
Some nights there are pub quiz's which are great with wine etc for the winners!
Everyone is made to feel welcome and its especially great in the summer when you can have your meal right on the riverside :)
