we ate at the slabhouse last weekend. Had not been there for a couple of years.Ate early 7pm restaurant already very busy, table location not great by entrance and table crammed in. But we had booked quite late, if you were of a larger size you would have struggled to get in.Also difficult for waitress to get food to the table next to us due to closeness of the tables. The food was great my husband had smoked trout to start and i had pate, both delicious. For our main we had our old trusted favourite fillet of winston churchill my husband thought his was a bit dry but mine was lovely. My husband finished mine off and agreed. however the food is abit pricey our main course £20 each and starters £ 5.00 .drinks reasonable.
