We have visited this restaurant on many occasions, usually on new years eve.
This year was the first time we have had to complain about the food, only one meal was affected, my wife could not eat her steak, it was inedible.
My wife does not like to complain, in 36 yrs of marriage she has never sent a meal back, that tells you something about this person, who always finds the good in everybody.
The waiter apologised and gave my wife her new steak, then this obnoxious young man with a blue shirt and an attitude you could almost smell, bend down level with my wife's face and decided to inform her there was nothing wrong with her steak but out of the goodness of his heart he was "giving" her a replacement steak.
In all my 62 years i have never seen anything like it and am never likely to again.
We did not have dessert or leave a tip and will never eat there again, so what has this chap achieved for this company.
I can only assume he was a relative of the owner as no business would keep someone employed who acted like a young basil fawlty.
I also have to ask what is the point of this service if the only thing you can do is recommend and you get a £20 reward for that recommendation.

This is our seventh visit trouble free but now terrible service and attitude. When complaining about the service I was sworn at by the manager and threatened by one of the members of staff. My friends from London were very shocked and upset. This is all so very disappointing as the food was great when it arrived.

NEVER AGAIN! The "manager" (owners 20yr old son) took no time at all to accuse my sever year old daughter of deliberately "mashing up" on of her king prawns (£9 for 3), when we complained that it was dodgy. He proceeded to lecture me on the location in the north Altantic where the prawns were caught and how it was impossible that any of the ingredients in the restaurant could be anything but 100% fresh. This, on top of the fact that my wife's lobster (£30) had mysteriously mislaid one large foreclaw between the ice cabinet and the table, my "new potatoes" tuned out ot be a boiled baking potato, that I had to get our own drinks from the bar, and that we were seated in the furthest corner of the restaurant (because of our children, presumably). After conning £75 off my credit card, he than told us were were "Ignorant" and not welcome to come back, ever. As if I would consider it!
This is easily the worst dining experience of my entire life. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Very fresh and well prepared meal on a very busy night. The food was still cooked and served promptly and the waiter was very good. A great place with a lively atmosphere. Highly recommended!
