Da Vinci in Sale has been in business 15 years now and you can expect a contemporary Italian interior with lots of terracotta and stone matched with a classic Italian menu offering a huge selection of dishes. Vegetarians are well looked after and there are loads of special deals. Da Vinci is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and on Sundays right through from 1pm to 9.30pm. There is a special children’s menu (£5.95 for under 7’s) and functions and groups are welcome.

Deckers on the Water enjoys a fabulous position overlooking Sale Water Park which is located just off the M60 at Jn 6. Established since 1989, Deckers offers relaxed dining and drinking in a contemporary, stylish and smart venue. You can enjoy great views of the 42 acre lake popular for dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and powerboating. There is a snack menu available at the bar offering gourmet sandwiches, salads and hot dishes like lasagne, burgers and jackets. The A la Carte menu available in the main restaurant features traditional English grill dishes such as steaks with a choice of sauces, fish and plenty of vegetarian options. There is a separate childrens menu for those under 12 years and a decent wine list. A great venue for functions and weddings, they have a large marquee which is erected overlooking the lake.

OCA in Sale is located next to the Bridgewater Canal in a pedestrianised area. It’s a light and airy gourmet pizzeria/restaurant and is one of Manchester’s most family friendly venues. The eclectic mix of pizzas, oven-baked pastas and innovative salads and evening steak, fish and chicken specials is complemented by home-made desserts and a comprehensive wine and cocktail selection. A children's menu is available, as are vegetarian options. OCA boasts stunning contemporary interior, floor-to-ceiling sliding windows and a substantial landscaped outside area for al fresco dining -- coupled with a new 9-storey purpose-built car park just 2 minutes walk away. At Sokrates, you can enjoy freshly prepared dishes from Greece, Cyprus and around the Mediterranean. The focal point of the menu is the Meze Greek Banquet which consists of more than 20 small dishes from the main menu. There is a good a la carte selection, some great Greek desserts and a wine list with plenty of choices from Greece and Cyprus. The atmosphere here is light and easygoing and Sokrates has sister restaurants in Horwich (also Sokrates) and Bouzouki By Night on Manchester's Princess Street.
