Sadly my trip here last year wasn't so great, although atmosphere is nice the food disappointed with my main being sent back and then sent out again with the offending item just reheated! I've been here before and hope this wasn't typical.

Glad to see that the refit has not spoilt Francs. We used to love it as it was so typically French - great informal food, indifferent service and reasonable prices. I'm pleased to say this is still the same, except the service is now friendly , quick and helpful with wonderfully charming French staff. Menu still has a few old favourites but some clever additions, like a small girly-sized steak frites and a sharing plate of cured meats. Shame about all the modern beech picture frames that cover the walls - they really don't go with the rest of the decor. Anyway, we shall certainly be back.

Lovely little restaurant hidden down side street in Chester usually do Sunday lunch their mixture of modern English with French twist very good value and excellent food
