Had a great mothers day meal this week end , would always recommend to friends , i've now eaten there several times and find the all round atmosphere ,surrounding and food to be the making of a good evening

I had a fantastic meal at El Bocado. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere. They had a great selection of Spanish wines which is great to see in a Spanish restaurant. We ordered a selection of authentic Spanish tapas and the paella. I would recommend El Bocado, definitely worth a visit.

I live local to the Devon Dumpling, I use this country style pub for many celebratory events, the food is excellent not only in quality but quantity too.It has a very friendly & warm feeling about the place.I have recommended this pub to many people.

Life's a Beach is a great place with really good food. The view is amazing and there's a real buzzy vibe. It's a nice place for the whole family as kids are welcome.

The taster menu with the wine flight is a must. One of the best meals we have ever had!

As residents of St Ives we are fortunate enough to have this excellent restaurant on our doorstep! The food is consistently of a high quality and at an affordable price, unlike many other restaurants in the town. The atmosphere is superb and the welcome you receive from Tim and his staff is second to none. Hidden away as it is, up above the shops on the harbour front, it is very difficult to tell just how good this modest looking restaurant is.......but as I worked for many years as a popular chef, I think my recommendation carries weight.......do try it but leave room for us please!

Our holiday home visitors book is full of recommendations for the Globe. We visited at half term and enjoyed our first meal so much we went back again on Saturday night. This is an old pub remember not a restaurant but there is a dining room a large children's room and a number of fires crackle in different cosy corners. Lasagna voted 10/10 by a discerning young teen. Chicken Madras excellent, tender and well presented, Indonesian lemon chicken from the specials board, which features a round the world daily changing option, was also well received. Local produce is used as much as possible and sausages burgers and steaks are consistently first class. Rump and jacket potato are a favourite. A hidden gem worth seeking out.

These enterprising owners have raised the bar once more. All the Tapas you can eat for a tenner was launched last week and as half term allowed me to revisit I was very pleasantly surprised. Yes the steak and prawns dishes are excluded but why pass up on the fabulously addictive chicken peppers and serrano ham or the superb melt in the mouth lamb kebabs or the tender and flavoursome chorizo sausage. Some well chosen Argentinian (almost Spain but cheaper) reds alongside the nice varied wine selection add up to a budget night out ! Its a no brainer!
