i am disappointed with the place now...full of trouble at the weekends and although busy its not the same as it used to be.bring back the team and the big guy that made it the original success
We came in for some food one afternoon with a friend, great apart from the service which was lacklustre. No one likes to see a waitress smoking seconds before serving food. I'm sure that you have policies intact to avoid this sight. Otherwise it's a lovely place to eat.
After a recent visit to the edge one Saturday afternoon myself and my wife found we were waiting for a young lady behind the bar to stop chatting to her mate to be told that what we had ordered was sold out. Apart from that, when the food arrived it was lovely. Another visit will be made for us as it was nice food but would recommend they get staff who pay more attention to the real people who pay there wages. The customers. Well done to the edge otherwise
My wife and I came to the edge for lunch last Friday it was very nice apart from having to wait nearly 45 mins for our food, it wasn't a big deal to us as we were chatting but I must say it was a while for what we had. We had 2 sandwiches and fries. It would have taken me 10 mins to do it. Anyway apart from that it was excellent and the service was a1.very nice place great staff and our only glitch was the time. But im sure it will be sorted soon for the sake of other customers. I can see why it's getting a great reputation though. Great food, atmosphere and look. Keep up the good work
Food is top notch and the quality is second to none...however the menu is very similar to another eatery in Poulton and would have liked to see a bit more thought instead of copying. Still having said that it was delicious. Full marks to the chef
I won a meal for two at The Edge courtesy of Radio Wave so my wife and I went yesterday afternoon (Saturday 1st October). On arrival a very polite and cheerful member of staff greeted us at the bar. We found a table and after a couple of minutes another cheerful member of staff came to us and asked if we would be ordering food. We said that we would be ordering food so she said that she would be back to take our order, she mentioned that there was a Specials Board as well as the extensive menu. The member of staff came back to our table after about 5 minutes to take our order. I ordered the Gammon Steak and eggs with garlic mash and seasonal vegetables. My wife ordered 8oz Sirloin Steak with garlic mash and seasonal vegetables. We shared Cheesy Garlic Bread and a portion of Spicy Potato wedges. As the food is all freshly prepared and cooked we waited approximately 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive. When it did arrive the presentation was A1 and the food was outstanding. Drinks at the bar are inexpensive and there is a large variety to choose from. We will be paying another visit to The Edge very shortly to try something else off the lovely menu!!
We came into the edge last Friday afternoon and found the food was of a high standard very cheap and extremely tasty. Highly recommend the salads, there are scrumptious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff always smiling and friendly. I enquired about having my brother's birthday party there and was greeted by a lady who showed me round the building and couldn't do enough for me. That was very impressive. I was told it was a family business and you can definitely see that as everyone was pitching in around the bar. I seriously think this will be Poulton's top place to go very soon as before I went in there I heard so many people saying how good it was in there, and I guess I went in to see what all the fuss was about. Im glad I did. Very clean bar which is very important as first impressions last, unless certain other places that look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks, mentioning no names! (The Cube). Highly recommend this place for a party or anything and if anyone reads this, try the specials, schnitzel is divine!!!! Keep up the excellent work and I will be visiting again very soon
After trying out other eating-places in Poulton I found The Edge much more appealing than say The Cube (which has the smell of chip fat as you walk in) or the Bull (typical warmed up Pub grub). The food was of a 5 star standard and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming...the staff were very helpful and definitely somewhere I will be recommended to my "CUBEites" friends...the futures bright...the future is THE EDGE!!! Keep up the excellent work!!!
I have eaten at the Edge on many occasions. The food has always been great and very inexpensive. I would recommend the eggs benedict or royale , the best I have ever tasted. Service is always very attentive. A new venue to Poulton well worth checking out. Competition around Poulton is of a good standard so I would like to wish them all the best.
The edge in Poulton is by far one of the most relaxing bars in Poulton it has great food from which I believe is made fresh on the premises and the service is good. The nice friendly staff are just happy to help in anyway they can very good. Nice place
I found the staff to be really attentive and the atmosphere was very relaxing, the food was to die for it was hot and fresh and I feel that this place is going to go really far
it was a nice place for a quick bite on Saturday! The service was speedy we didn't have to wait long for a meal that tasted homemade.
