When driving down the little country lane that takes you to Rigbys, I was in awe!! Such a nice setting, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our table sat down to huge plates of Lamb Chops, Fillet Steak, Sirloin Steak and the brave person on our table sat down to a Mix Grill (Sirloin Steak, Pork Chop, Lamb Chop, Gammon, Cumberland Sausage, Black Pudding!!) It was huge!! All locally sourced from neighbouring farms we were informed. As much veg and potatoes as you liked, the waitress informed us, if you run out just ask for more, there was little chance of that happening though! You could not argue with the prices, very reasonable. Wine list was also excellent we had a great House Merlot and Bottle of Black Shiraz. Well worth a trip!!
More Rigbys Farmhouse Restaurant recommendationsAside from the clearly well refurbished premises, the owners who are there to ensure the customers are happy and the outstanding food I don't know how to find fault with this place. The restaurant itself is downstairs and unlike before when it was 1am has now had a glass partition / door to stop the cold draft from the entrance door being opened coming through. There is a bar downstairs and seating area with modern but comfy seating and there is a bar upstairs where you can go if you fancy a drink before or after your meal. The restaurant has it's own personalized cocktail list with the King Of Siam being my favourite! The restaurant is clearly a modern take on Thai Cuisine and it is nice to go somewhere where the food is amazing and you don't need to cringe at the dated decor! A Very well done to Thai & Henry and all the staff at Siam!
More Siam Restaurant And Thai Bar recommendationsI eat here at least once a week best place in Blackpool and the owners make you feel really welcome in fab surroundings 10 out of 10 excellent
More Lounge Bar recommendationsReally liked this place. I used to live in London and it reminded me of the kind of buzzy little place you might find in Ealing or Chiswick. There's an open kitchen, a takeaway counter and a handful of tables for dining in. Great food, Greek and Cypriot beers and wines and not in the least bit pretentious. I hope this puts Layton on the dining map. And try the gyros here which is the house speciality.
More Go Greek recommendationsAlways has a great specials menu which we always try and love the flavours. Same old a la carte menu though, I think menus should be ever changing not long lasting.
More Miller Arms, The recommendationsGood quality food, good value, well cooked by friendly staff.
More Kays Knott End Chippy recommendationsWent for an early mothers day meal on Saturday just gone and while I had heard/read that the food is good here I was still pleasantly surprised. I ordered the black pudding 'doughnut' for starters and the venison main course and both were really nice, big portion sizes and extremely rich. Everybody else in my party seemed to enjoy theirs too. This is a great traditional pub with good food and good ale. If the chef reads this and you noticed a venison dinner come back to the kitchen unfinished on Saturday evening then that was me, I was just too full to carry on and that is not a reflection on what I thought of the dish (I used to be a chef and know it can be upsetting to see plates with food still on). Marks out of 10?... 8. only because I thought the food was bordering on being too rich. Not been? Give it a go.
More Eagle And Child Inn recommendationsTruly superb Thai food. Having spent 14 years living in Thailand, I can say that Suda's is the best Thai in the north of England. I have dined at all the local Thai restaurants and nothing compares to the food served here. It is advisable to call in advance at the weekends as they are really busy. Highly recommended.
More Suda Thai Cuisine recommendationsIve been twice to great fortune house for a buffet meal and both times it has been excellent. there is plenty of delicious food and you can eat as much as you like. I t is a bargain for the price. We usually spend just under 30 pound and we leave stuffed and a bit tipsy! what more can you ask for. would definitely recommend it!
