I consider myself to be a good judge of Fish & Chips and in my opinion the Leaping Fish is one of the very best. The standard fish is of excellent quality, chunk and flaky white flesh with a top quality batter cooked to perfection and always prepared fresh to order. Similarly, chips are golden brown, crispy on the surface but fluffy inside, unlike the pale and often over or under cooked versions you find in many chippies. It's rare to find a chippy where they get all the elements right. The shop has a contemporary look and feel with clean lines since its tasteful revamp. Quality is always consistent from the father and son team who share the cooking duties. I live within a stones throw of a chippy that's often held up as the pinnacle of the art of fish and chips. But, guess what, I travel a good few miles to patronise the Leaping Fish instead - I recommend you do too!

My favourite is the sausage, chips, beans and gravy its a must! The staff amazing, friendly and polite with speedy service too. It? all round excellence? always want to go there. I might only be 10 but I? a fussy eater and this is one of my favourite meals.

After a hard day at work there is nothing better than the leaping fish chippy tea! My favourite in particular are the new fish cakes they are to die for! The staff are brill and I would recommend everyone to go there!! Super trendy chippy with an extra special difference.

Im only 14 but I know a decent chippy when I see one and I go there every other Friday night, its too good not too. Wide range of food to choose from, they've taken the "chippy" to the next level, brilliant food.

With pleasent hard working staff and fantastic food that ranges from chip butties to Pizza Carleton leaping fish is the best chip shop around!

Whether its fish & chips, pizza, burger or fried chicken strips this chippy has it all. The pizzas are my favorite they are cooked to perfection oozing with cheese and toppings. My husbands favorite is the Triple Whammy burger, this is the king of all burgers. I fully recomend a few drinks in the pub opposite and tea from the leaping fish chippy. Its a must!
