Was there last Sunday with family. I had just travelled 800 miles from where I live (CH for 17 years) and was a bit disappointed with family choice of restaurant basically because it is at the end of the road however was my mine changed once I got in there! Menu with a great choice, service spot on, wine, food and atmosphere better than perfect. I have travelled the world and dine out weekly around Europe, call it an hobby if you like and I can categorically say this restaurant is up there with the best. As mentioned before, if this restaurant was located in Manchester center you won't find a table for months. If any points to knock would be the wine list was small for my liking but I still found some good wines. 10 out of 10
always had good meals here with excellent friendly service. More people should try this place. If this was in a major city you would struggle to get a table. Good prices, good selections, I will keep going.
The Bistro is one of the best that there is. If it was in a more salubrious setting then the food would cost twice as much. We have never been disappointed and the food is divine. The staff are pleasant and polite and it is always our first choice for a lovely meal out.
The service was relaxed and polite and the food was beautifully presented and very tasty, desserts were again nicely done but there wasn't enough choice. Perfect for something different with an extensive menu and specials board. Spiffing
We have often been to The Bistro we have always had excellent meal and service.
I would highly recommend the restaurant, but would suggest booking.
The food is consistently excellent and surroundings nice.
Well done The Bistro.
Really enjoy our visits to The Bistro and the food etc., is great.
The prices are no more than you would expect for the quality of the food, the service and surroundings.
Four of us decided to try another restaurant mid-May, which was in Chorley town centre with similar prices and what a bad experience that was! Will be back to The Bistro now.
Been several times but prefer Sunday afternoon as it's great value, also early evening Saturday. Never been late Saturday so cannot comment on atmosphere etc then. Good choice of wines available especially for a place this size. Helpings always generous, can never resist the 'fat chips' but leave room for a dessert. As we live 20 miles away it's somewhere we reserve for those 'special Sundays' but never disappointed.
I've been visiting the Bistro since it opened.
It's very difficult to give any criticism when it constantly gets better.
The food is always excellent, the staff very friendlily and attentive.
The cost is reasonable compared to other styles of restaurants.
I though long and hard what to say, even considering not reporting on it so that I could keep it secret for myself.
But my guild got the better of me "it is excellent to experience such a high standard without a slip, this is what makes great restaurant"
Their reputation is spreading with a regular customer base, I would recommend booking.
We have been to the bistro on several occasions and have always been very well treated the chef is very flexible and the food is excellent Dave Callaghan
The ambience of the restaurant, range and quality of food available and service offered is excellent. We would recommend dinning at this restaurant.
I've been a few times here and the food is always excellent, there's a lot of choice and the waiters are friendly. Would definitely recommend
I like the bistro, it doesn't pretend to be something its not. You can tell the chef hasn't worked outside of a five mile radius, judging by the menu, but its a nice experience for Adlington. Didn't like the dentist reception decor but overall worth a quick bite. I think the same person keeps recommending the place; it looks a bit like a fix!!!
What a great restaurant. The food is excellent as are the choice of wines.
The ambiance is just right for any occasion. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thankyou. I will be back
Have been to the Bistro several times. Never been disappointed yet.The food is "to die for" . Excellent wines to choose from. Every other restaurant I visit now has a lot to live up to (and usually doesn't) Keep it up !!
A superb meal the best food I have had in a very long time modern surroundings dimly lit at night made for a lovely evening a must for all food lovers!!!!!
After visiting the Bistro, we have been spoiled by the excellent food as always and don't think we will bother to try anywhere else .This chef really knows his stuff!!!!!
We visited the Bistro on Sunday 23 April 06 for traditional Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Had the set menu 8.95 for 2 courses. Good choice of Starters, all excellent - soup was divine as was the pate! We both opted for the Rib of Beef again very good great "al dente" vegetables!! I had the apple mouse for dessert -very light. the decor is modern, leather banquettes and wood flooring, air con if needed. Strange situation for a bistro but it obviously works and has lots of repeat customers. Lots of different offers for lunch , dinner etc and also for fathers day etc. Will definitely be going back soon to try the lunch time menu with some friends. Visit you won't be disappointed.
