Sugarvine

What a lovely little place! Not much from the outside but the welcome was very warm and friendly from the minute we walked in, and the food we had was spectacularly good (mussels alla Crema & risotto Pescatore particular). The bill was a nice surprise too - very good value for the quality of food and drink.

What a fantastic restaurant, a small but friendly place, great food, fantastic friendly service, a really good variety of Mediterranean food, had several meals here now, and not had one bad dish.

You walk in and are always greeted with a Smile. The staffs are always very friendly. The service and presentation of the meals are Second to none

I am regular Customer of La Cantina 44 and eat at this restaurant at least 25 times per year. I have never eaten a bad meal or had reason to complain. The level of friendly service is first class I always recommend this Restaurant to friends, and family + work colleagues.

We live nearby and frequent La Cantina 44. Service is always friendly and the food is consistently of high quality and decent value. Try the Calzone, it's huge! The steaks are also excellent. Can be busy so I'd book at weekends.*****

A large group of us ate here Saturday 3rd January and i have to say how enjoyable the evening was. The food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. The waiters were very friendly and we will be definitely recommending La Cantina 44 to all our friends and will be eating here again in the near future.

I eat here regular with lots of friends its brilliant . The food is good the staff brill the price is good too , nothing is too much trouble for this little restaurant.

This is a gem of restaurant, it has been open for a few years now and has never failed to please with service, food and atmosphere, with its lovely little terrace at the front its a fantastic place to have the early evening menu on a sunny evening, and the cold Peroni. The staff and owners are always inviting a fantastic place to unwind and have a great meal 5 star little Mediterranean restaurant *****

Went on a Saturday night. Food was very good and reasonably priced. The place itself was nice - not flashy, but pleasant enough. Waiters were a bit inattentive, which let it down slightly.

We ate at La Cantina last weekend the food was great and tastes very authentic, we found the cost was reasonable however, it is not city centre. Inside the restaurant the seating area is quite small and there is not a lot of tables, when busy it feels like you are on top of each other. The service ok, all the staff seemed to be busy, one of the waitresses just would not leave our table and I felt this was bad service due to the fact our food had been brought out, this was the only fault we had!

The best little restaurant in east Leeds. Try the calamari or pizza al aglio for starters both are outstanding. Prawns piri piri or the perfectly cooked steaks are formidable after those excellent starters but well worth the effort. The best part is the bill.... at these prices you can afford to visit more than once a week.

Pam and I just wanted a fairly quick meal in an atmosphere where we could unwind after a busy day, having been to La Cantina 44 before we decided it would be ideal. How right we were, Sami (the waiter that evening), and his girls looked after us perfectly, the Chef supplied fillet steak for Pam and Bisteca Peasana for myself, both cooked exactly as we wished for, complemented by excellent fries and a green salad, and accompanied by a bottle of Chianti, our needs were more than satisfied. We were charmed by the attentive, efficient service and delighted by the reasonable bill. We are going back there, with friends this evening. (only 3 days later)!

Excellant food but the evening was marred due to the fact that we were advised that the offer ( as advertised on the sugarvine website) of a free bottle of house wine had "expired" .Prepare for embarresment if looking to take advantage of the sugarvine offer! Other than this the restaurant is fine.

We've just returned from La Cantina, having enjoyed a truely exceptional evening. The restaurant was lively, the house wine (red) was unusually good and the food was of a very high quality. All of portions were generous and the pasta and bread (home-made) was how it should be. One tiny criticism, a rare fillet rossini was overdone when it arrived. Otherwise a brilliant night out of very good value and delicious food.

The free bottle of wine we had when we mentioned sugarvine was a nice start to an enjoyable meal. The staff were good and even organised a taxi home. I would certainly go there again . If pushed to find fault it would be with the starter ( a bit small and pricey) which was a 9/10 and not a 10/10 like the main course.
