This is about as good as it gets for Mexican food in this area. The old favourites are all offered, but they are tastier than usual, and not so greasy and unhealthy. There are less commonly offered delights too.( For those of you who've seen "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" where Johnnie Depp travels around eating pueco pi bil and shoots the chef when he finds one that's perfect,- try cochinita pi bil at Savina, but please don't shoot the chef as we want to go back, and this is about my favourite dish on the menu...) Definitely highly recommended!

Went to savina on Sunday with a large number of friends(45 to be exact) and was once again really really pleased by the warm friendly atmosphere of the staff. Food was fantastic as always(my sixth time dining here) and considering it was such a large booking not much of a wait at all.Savina is a must for any Mexican food lover and the standards are very high compared to other Mexican restaurants we have visited! All my friends agreed it's a true must try restaurant and many said they will be visiting again very soon :)

Ok atmosphere & well presented restaurant. Food (enchilada & burrito, nachos) were good, but couldn't help thinking basically the same as your standard 'Brewer's Fayre' type. Possibly frozen meals dinged in the microwave? Prices were acceptable. May go again.

Visited Savina on one of the busiest night of the year & still couldn't fault it. The staff are welcoming & efficient and the christmas menu was delicious.
Live music added to an already festive atmosphere - we had a fantastic night and will definitely be revisiting.

What a restaurant, I had my hen-night party here when it first opened, and nothing has changed since then, the food has to be the best, not something you would expect from an average mexican restaurant. I had my honeymoon in Mexico and visited some of there restaurants, there aren't many modern mexican restaurants around but when you find one you are in for a treat. Savina is however a fantastic modern mexican restaurant, the decor in the restaurant is modern and the music and ambience is wonderful. The staff haven't changed and the food is consistent as always. I have convinced my work colleagues to have our Christmas Party here as they are having live music on, and I can't wait. I love Savina and there should be more around the north west (I live in St Helens) I recommend Savina to everyone and wouldn't hesitate recommending it to Sugarvine!!!! A++++'s allround!!

Hello, visited Savina this weekend, we were recommended to visit by our friends, and since we were in Liverpool we thought we would give it a try. However when we arrived on Saturday evening it was fully booked. So, instead we went back on the Sunday before heading home. This restaurant was everything that was recommended to us. The atmosphere was fantastic we really enjoyed our evening. The staff are very friendly, and most importantly the food was fantastic to, my wife tried the Red Savina Salsa (which was extremely hot) the waiter had told us that if we eat all the Salsa he will give us a bottle of wine, the thought of having a bottle of wine on the house was very tempting but the salsa was way to hot. I would urge anyone to give Savina a whirl. A+++

Lovely comforting food. Had a great meal sitting at a window table watching the rain bouncing outside. Typical British summer nights dining!

Fantastic restaurant, food was excellent this restaurant has to be one of the best Mexicans in town! - My wife doesn't like spicy food, and I was very surprised by the menu, snapper, stakes etc, more than your average tortilla wrap! Loved it, recommend to anyone.

Excellent restaurant, fantastic addition to Duke Street. The food was fabuloso! - the fajitas are the best. Not your average Mexican restaurant, would recommend to anyone.

Hello, I went to Savina Mexican Restaurant in Duke Street yesterday evening. A friend had told me that a new mexican restaurant had opened in Liverpool. I am American and when it comes to Mexican food I can honestly say that I am an expert. We arrived about 7:30pm the restaurant is very modern with fantastic decor. Our waitress was lovely, Spanish speaking as well. We where given a trio of dips and nacho chips. Whilst this restaurant serves its classic mexican dishes, it also serves Modern Mexico City Dishes. I went for the Rojo Snapper and my wife went for the Rib Eye Steak. The snapper was cooked to perfection and my wife said his steak was divine. We both agreed that the Patatas Bravas potatoes (which where chunky potatoes with red onion and chorizo) were absolutely fantastic. I have recommended this restaurant to relatives visiting Liverpool next week, but the only down side was, when they tried to book they where fully booked. A truly fantastic evening. Thanks to all the staff at Savina.
