The Gallery is my favourite place to eat, the food is outstanding and staff are very attentive, and for what you get the prices are very
reasonable indeed. I would eat there all the time if i could.!

Just had a meal last night Friday 15th
July in the Gallery Allerton Road Liverpool. 2 girls upstairs Abbie and
Rachel really helpful and polite with our excellent meal. However girl
downstairs behind bar was told several times over an hour or so that there
was no toilet roll in the Ladies. No effort at all was made to rectify and
bad attitude. Hope you can add this or escalate? Many thanks.

Really wonderful - great venue, service and fab food. It was our first visit (Sunday 12 December 2010 5pm) - it will not be our last.
We were equally impressed by the reasonable prices - we have been to far more expensive restaurants where the quality, service etc. just have not been worth it but this was NOT the case at The Gallery. Brilliant food at really reasonable prices. It wasn't the prices that actually attracted us to visit (we had surveyed the Internet before booking), it was the recommendations we'd read (also in the Echo) - but it was a plus. Highly recommended by the Butler family.

We recently visited the Gallery for the first time and as soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome and presently surprised by how nice the venue is. The level of service was outstanding and the quality and presentation of the meal was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will visit again in the near future.

We recently held a naming ceremony for our son at the Gallery and I can't commend them highly enough for the service they gave to us.
We met with the chef beforehand and he devised an excellent and reasonably priced menu especially for us. We were given exclusive use of the upstairs of the restaurant for the afternoon too. The main course canapes were excellent and innovative, with something for everyone - mini jackets with crisp pork belly and black pudding, roast pepper and tomato shots, mini fish and chips, mini rump burgers to mention just a few.
The highlight for us was that the chefs, off their own back, created a whole surprise range of desserts for us with a theme of 'childhood memories'. These desserts were visually stunning and tasted great too - each one being based upon the flavours of childhood sweets - such as parma violet ice creams or fruit pastille flavoured jellies. The food was first class. The staff were all very friendly and helpful too. They really helped us make it a special day for our family. We'll be going back to eat there soon.

With a group of friends, as a birthday treat, I was taken to the Gallery on 16th July and what a treat it was!
Excellent menu, friendly, attentive staff (not too intrusive) and beautiful surrounding made the evening special.
Highly recommended, I look forward to visiting again soon.

After deciding to take advantage of the complimentary bottle of house wine between 2 people when ordering 2 or more courses each on Monday evening. Plumbing for the scallops on black pudding and my other half having the shredded con-fit leg of Goosnargh duck, which we both enjoyed. Scallops even though small in size but packed full of flavour are some of the tastiest I have eaten anywhere.
With some very nice sounding choices on the main menu I decided on the pan roasted breast of goosnargh duck, ginger duchesse, honey roasted carrots & Cumberland sauce the missus decided on poach grill chicken supreme, creamed potato, chasseur sauce, honey roast carrots. The waitress did inform me that the duck is cooked rare, and the chef was happy to cook to my liking, rare it was. Lovely..
Both of us cleaned the plate, sat back and nodded in appreciation and made some MMMM noises.
Portions are perfectly sized which meant we could squeeze in a pudding each, which again were delicious.
The bill arrived and I was very happy, with the free bottle of wine the bill was £26 per head. Which in my mind is a very reasonable price for some very lovely food.
Especially when I recently paid £40 per head for 3 courses in a city centre restaurant which left me feeling robbed, compared to the warm friendly, bright and pleasant dining area and really good food of The Gallery. I will definitely be going back SOON!!!

We had visited Gallery before for food and it's always been nice but when we nipped in the other night to grab a quick bite to eat we were blown away by how incredible the food is now! The most delicious pork belly and a surprise taster dish to start. The service was spot on and we were only disappointed we didn't have time to squeeze in a dessert as we were meeting friends! The chocolate gateau sounded and looked to die for! However we were treated to a glass of champagne each by the manager as we recently got engaged so that made up for missing out on the pudding. We're planning our next meal there already. Highly recommended :-)

Had a lovely lunch there the other day, waiters were lovely and the food was gorgeous, I'll definitely be going back

After wandering up and down allerton rd we me and three of my friends decided to choose the gallery. Having not eaten there before we didn't know what to expect. When we where seated it was explained to us that all the meat and veg is locally sourced from merseyside and all the sea food is sustainable something a lot of places don't do. The food came and it lived up to how the waitress and the menu described it absolutely fabulous i will be returning, highly recommended.
