Since opening its doors for the first time in 1982, the Lobster Pot on Ranelagh Street has built up a reputation as one of Liverpool’s best chippies. It’s takeaway only – although the new branch on Whitechapel boasts a modern 70-cover dining room – but as well as doing fish & chips well they serve Indian and Chinese food, fried chicken, kebabs, burgers and pies. The Lobster Grill is open from 10.30am to midnight Sunday to Thursday and until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.
