This is a great sushi place. The quality of the fish, the preparation, the proportions - all fantastic. The orders can take a while and service, though polite, can be a bit slow. The atmosphere is simple and small, but friendly. It is authentically Japanese.
Every so often things run out or aren't working (for example my husband loves Tempura but the deep fryer was broken - one of the three times we have been there). But their quality of fish has always been good. I adore yellowtail, scallop, and toro. The size of fish to rice is perfect and the rice is fresh.
With sake to drink and a good amount of sushi to eat, dinner for 2 will run the price of GBP 70-90.
I will pick up some handrolls (around GBP 5) for lunch or a few for a light dinner to get my sushi fix without the big price of full sushi dinner.
Highly recommend for people who love good sushi but can't afford places like Nobu.
