We had a really enjoyable 3 course meal. Service was excellent from entering to leaving and the cocktails were top notch.
Definitely go back.

What a fabulous restaurant!! The atmosphere and decor is very relaxing and welcoming. The food is superb, every course was delicious. The staff are lovely and big thanks to our waiter who couldnt have been anymore accommadating, (1 of our party is allergic to garlic, which is a nightmare in an Italian!!). We even asked for a cheeseboard which wasnt on the menu and again our request were met with absolutely no bother. ! would have no qualms paying full price at this place.Cant wait to go back! Gi

Wowsers, I can't get over how good this place was. The food was amazing, I highly recommend the garlic petals to start with.
The atmosphere was warm and friendly and our waitress was probably the best i've come across ever!
I can't recomend this place enough - I can't wait to go back :o)

Food was delicious, great lively atmosphere and efficient service.
The only problem was that the whicker chairs have ruined my new dress - it's all plucked at the back! I am devastated!

Having thought we knew all the restaurants in town... we were delighted to discover this little gem on our doorstop. We went early on a Friday evening...the restaurant was busy and lively, with a great atmosphere. The food was lovely, the wine perfect and the staff were friendly and well informed. We had a lovely evening and have booked to go again!

We had a very nice meal, good quality food and relaxed service. The restaurant was initially very quiet, 12.30 on a Bank Holiday, but picked up the afternoon. The chicken cooked in sourdough was excellent, and the chocolate fudge brownie highly recommended.

DON'T GO!! We visited the Olive press in Manchester last night and the food was Awful!!. How Heathcote can put his name to this is beyond me or has he never sampled the food. I enjoy quality food!! The ingredients may have been quality but the way they were cooked were not! We were in a party of six and shared a garlic pizza initially . This was hardly cooked and not at all crispy.. Thank goodness we only ordered one! I then ordered Leek and potato soup from the specials.. Although not too bad the bottom of the soup was full of GRIT!! Whoever had washed the leeks had not made a good job of it!! Paul Heathcote take note!! I then had
the burger with fries. This was cooked ok but if I hadnt ordered it with the extra pancetta and Gorgonzola cheese it would have had no taste!! My husband had the four seasons pizza which he said was also very soggy due to undercooking and also had some odd toppings on it such as mince!! For a restaurant to boast they serve authentic Italian food and then serve this is misrepresentation. I know because my mother was Italian!! The restaurant quickly became full of large parties of girls on a hen/birthday parties! When I went to the toilet the bin was overflowing and a girl was being sick in the next toilet!!
We did not say anything on the night because we were in a group and we did not want to spoil our day out but I will be writing with my complaints to the Head office!
How can Mr Heathcote put his name to this restaurant with this awful standard of food! Does he never visit any of his restaurants!! I have to say we have visited the Olive Press in Clitheroe and the food there is equally as bad! Once was enough!
There are so many more better restaurants especially in Manchester.. For a better experience and better quality food try San Carlos in Manchester!!

we went to the olive press at Christmas time after a long days shopping, we had never been before and cam across it walking by. We hadn't booked a table and the manager made us feel welcome and sat us at the bar while she food us a table. The menu is good lots of choices, we had 3 children with us and they had the children's menu which they could make there own pizza! they were over the moon with this. The food we ordered was fab and very tasty, the restaurant is handy for the shops and is a very family friendly place. We will defo be return and i have told all my friends and family about this, the team are very friendly too!

We came out to celebrate a family birthday and found this restaurant to be very pleasant, relaxed and enjoyable. The food was great value for money and cooked to perfection, the staff where very attentive and inviting. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend a visit!

I thoroughly recommend this restaurant. It's handy for the shops and is very family-friendly, but still with a sophisticated feel. The menu is much more inspiring than most run-of-the-mill Italian restaurants and the wine list isn't scarily expensive. The pizzas are brilliant - nice and thin and not loaded with too much cheese. Overall a great place to eat for all sorts of occasions.
