Suri, on Manchester’s King Street, offers a contemporary dining experience where you can savour the flavours of the Mediterranean and Middle East. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes with main course choices such as Lebanese Lamb (Lamb shank, beans mash, yoghurt, mint and pomegranate chimichurri), Al-Andalus pork belly (Iberico pork belly, apple, cinnamon, pork crumble and ‘ajo blanco’), Aleppo beef fillet (8oz fillet tails, harra potato, goji berry, red pepper tartar and sauce) and Salmon sumac pie (Salmon, sumac, kale, peas, egg, red chilli and sesame filo). Dishes are cooked over lump wood charcoal to provide a subtle, smoky flavour to the locally sourced meats and seafood with warm spices and fragrant herbs to add that special Levantine touch. Vegetarian dishes are given equal billing too and everything is served family style to encourage sharing. It’s all complemented by a great selection of wines, beers, bubbles, cocktails and gins, as well as a full range of teas and coffees. Suri, which literally means ‘red rose’ in Persian, is open right through from 11.30am until late, seven days a week.
