We've just arrived back home from a visit to this restaurant and we're extremely dissatisfied at the visit as a whole. When we arrived, music was blaring out to the point where we couldn't even hear each other, or the waitress. We asked if it could be turned down a bit, which it was, for a while, but then seemed to go back up after a short amount of time.We tried to order the 3 courses for £10.95 deal, as seen on their website, only to be told that this wasn't valid in December. Of which there is no mention on the website, nor the large screen in the bar area, showing the offer available as expected. We therefore ordered garlic bread with cheese, 2 cokes and 2 pasta dishes (Spaghetti mare and Tagliatelle Boscaiola) but could only eat the garlic bread, and ate less than a third of the pasta dishes each, due to them not being very nice. They were bland, and claggy and to our minds, not of restaurant quality. We told the waitress, who took away the plates and then left us to our own devices for a while, returning only to ask if we'd like to order a dessert or coffee, which we declined and asked for the bill.No offer of a replacement meal was made, the kitchen staff had left by this point anyway, but what we feel was a very small 'token gesture' was made by removing the charge for the garlic bread and cheese. We didn't want to make a scene by pushing things, so just said ok. So, we've actually paid for the more expensive dishes that we had the problems with, and could not be eaten?!Our final bill came to £21.80, which we paid in cash (£22) and left (still hungry)... however we feel very unhappy that we've effectively paid £22 for 2 cokes, 1 garlic bread and a very small amount of pasta each - which is very expensive for the small amount of food that we were able to consume. We've been going to this restaurant for years, however hadn't visited in some time, so this was a massive disappointment, in which we've been left out of pocket. I can't see us visiting again, nor any of our friends and family, if problems are dealt with so poorly, and if this is the new norm for food that is served here.I have a feeling that the new management have changed things to cut down costs, or something. Not impressed.

Well as you may have read below i was so looking forward to visiting xmas 07 (under new management). Well we were a little disappointed, the atmosphere wasn't as it normally is and the food wasnt as good as normal, we thought that perhaps we had visited on a bad night. Last weekend we went to danielies for a takeaway pizza as our favourtie pizza takeaway was closed. We were expecting a very good standard of pizza as we have had in the past but it was very dissapointing. Bought in pizza bases, cheap ingredients (one of us asked for an Ingles egga, bacon sausage, which in the past was a fresh egg broken onto the pizza and cooked, this time it was boiled egg and frankfurter sausages) i didnt get the correct pizza and it was smothered in that much cheese it made me wonder what they were hiding.
It's a shame as this was such a great place, we were planning a baby shower here but now we have changed our minds. Hopefully things will improve. i may visit again an give it one last try...

I went last Friday with my wife and a group of friends and the service and food was outstanding. The newly installed management team are quickly bringing the place back up to its former glories. Well done and keep up the good work!! Will be back soon.

I love this place me and my friends go every year for a pre-Christmas get together. The food is fantastic, reasonably priced and the atmosphere is brilliant. Great for kids as they are made to feel very welcome. Especially good if your there for a birthday as everyone will come out and sing happy birthday to you at full volume! There is a rumour that this place is closing down an i really hope it isnt true as it's the only decent local restaurant and has been a favourite with locals for many, many years. Looking forward to visiting in December!

Food was great, attention to detail superb and staff had great sense of humour, having booked to celebrate my birthday and have a family get together they did not let us down, the menu was extensive and covered all tastes and budgets.
We visited on a Friday evening and the place had a fantastic atmosphere which was equally matched by the great team and food quality. Well worth a visit!!! or 10

Very nice place and well worth a visit - £11.90 for choice of starter, pasta/pizza an ice cream / tiramisu (Mon - Weds) Ended up at £20 per head including drinks. There is also a Sunday offer of 3 courses for around the same price. Pizza (Danielis) was excellent - as was the fungi de bosco (sp?), mushrooms in a tomato sauce... Definitely worth a visit - we will be returning. .. and they have an old Fiat inside the place!!
