I have to say this is the BEST Chinese restaurant in Newcastle.. Not only the food being FANTASTIC the 2 lads running the show ( Yen & Andrew ) make you & your guests most welcome....LOVE IT.

I have previously feasted on ( over the last 20+ years ) the best Chinese food in the north east or should I say the UK at the King Neptune also on stowell street Landmark thanks to Andy and Yen( two dodgy black and whiters ) have taken that and given eating Chinese food style with the cool decor and arrangement, fantastic enjoy everyone!!!!

This is the best restaurant in the whole world the food is sensational all of it the waiters are very friendly and so a the barmen and women I would recommend this for anyone tall , small ,young and old it is a fantastical experience and better than any other restaurant.

Yup, the reviews were right - excellent food, attentive service, good ambience and only a bit more in terms of cost than average. One big and very disappointing "however"...

We had booked a table for four via telephone, but when we arrived last Saturday, a not unusual story, no record of the booking! The excuse proffered was perhaps the booking had been taken by someone with poor English language skills. It was interesting to note there were no other bookings shown in the book for around the time we wanted to eat either. Hmmm...

Not to worry, we had a drink in the bar. Unfortunately, despite a number of reminders from us and repeated assurances that we'd have a table in ten minutes, we didn't get seated for a further 45 minutes. If it hadn't been my girlfriend's birthday, I would have had the drinks and walked out.

I'd go again, but next time make very sure I'd taken a name of the person taking the booking. I'd also make a lot more fuss in the very public bar area if we didn't get our table at roughly the agreed time.

The best meal i have had for ages, the service was excellent even though it was very busy, nothing was too much trouble and the restaurant itself was lovely. Will be going again soon cant wait. Please book in advance as it gets busy.

Me and my partner had a fantastic meal, the service was second to none and the prices are great for all, I highly recommend the landmark to everyone I speak to!

Me and my partner won't go anywhere else when it comes to Chinese food. The landmark is exceptional. Not only is the food great but the service is excellent too! Yen and Andy make us so welcome everytime we go.

I have been to Landmark twice and thoroughly recommend it as it has a good atmosphere, great food and fantastic service. It's a very new restaurant with modern décor, all tables are round (love round tables!) with some New York style booths too.
I went with a group of girls for a friends birthday (got free ice-cream for the birthday girl and free shots for the occasion after the meal). We went for the banquet (around £18) with Soup, Duck then four main meals with rice (prawn, chicken, pork and strips of steak), the steak was fantastic!!
With plenty of wine washed down we had a great evening!

This place is absolutely fantastic, it puts all the other Chinese restaurants to shame. 10 out of 10

Great food here. The salt and pepper prawns were perfection. The guys who own it are great too !!! Portions could be bigger however !!

New and Funky but still cool, not your typical oriental restaurant, staff were really friendly and my ten year old daughter thinks its the best place in town. Food was brill, beer just as good, Blanc on draught! Andy and Yen have it off to a T. Well done boys!
