Great food let down by terrible service.More The Patricia, Jesmond reviews
Booked for Christmas lunch more like average Sunday roast. An hour into meal it went seriously downhill. Waiting an hour between meals is seen as acceptable by management. Let's see.. firstly manager/owner has a real attitude problem and can't handle negitive feedback and uses excuse of being short staffed. Menu doesn't reflect quality of food you get. Atmosphere bland and uncomfortable. At 90 pound per person expected better than this but hey ho. In your words all I want to do was moan. The fact is I stated i simply wanted to provide feedback expecting nothing from that feedback. I would strongly advise not to go to this place, it has potential but management don't care about experience of customers just their bank balances. Avoid like the plague. You might have a good few experiences but ultimately if you complain you see their true colours!!!More The Plough Inn, Newburn reviews
Christmas Lunch Menu was a real treat. Salmon in a Seafood Sauce the most delicious dish I have eaten for a very long time. Friendly Welcome and service.More Oli & Joes Restaurant, Gosforth reviews

I stumbled upon this establishment and stopped off for a pint one Sunday lunchtime in the middle of a long journey. I intended ordering a pint of draught but on seeing a snorkel and flippers hanging up on the inside of the cellar door I decided to play it safe and instead ordered a bottle of Newcastle Brown. My fears were confirmed when a fire engine pulled up outside and a regular shouted to the landlord "gaffer the drays here",On observing the said landlord it seemed apparent he was carrying out a "service with a scowl" policy on mentioning this a local said "don't worry we're in the middle of unhappy hour the thing is it's a promotion that runs 365 days of the year" I eventually supped up my pint and left all in all a very interesting experience.More Rosedene The, Sunderland reviews
Visiting friends near Stockton-on-Tees for the weekend and they took us to Muse for dinner Saturday evening. Yarm looked great in the early summer sunshine and Muse is a buzzy venue right on the high street. Great atmosphere, lovely food and a good choice of wines with very reasonable mark-ups (although for some reason they had put Lebanon's iconic Chateau Musar in Israel). Our waitress was very friendly and very efficient and it really does make such a difference, the icing on the cake of a lovely meal and night out. Would highly recommend Muse if you're in the area.More Muse, Yarm reviews
