I've now been to Roma's on a number of occasions and have always been very pleased with the quality of the food and the service provided. They must be doing something right as they have been open for over 40 years. One of the best italian restaurants in the city. This is not a run of the mill Pizza/Pasta place, it is a a quality authentic Italian restaurant.

I went to The Roma restaurant as part of a large group booked at short notice. Our doubts that we could book a table for 30 3 hours before eating made us a bit suspicious, however the restaurant was a good typical Italian. The bar service was not very suitable as all our drinks were put onto one bill which could be difficult in a large group. The restaurant was basic and a little dated, but that added to the atmosphere with a raised tented area, gold leaf mirrors and risque paintings! The food was tasty and portions good. No pizza though which seemed strange for an Italian? I had two starters, Garlic and Chilli King Prawns, which were enormous and delicious followed by Spaghetti Vongole (Clams) equally good and very filling. The house wine was bad, but a good selection of Italian wines were on offer. A few in the group ordered Veal, which was a little dry, but apart from that no complaints. Good value in my opinion, though don't expect to be wowed.
