The beer is excellent, and the fact that during the summer you can sit out back in a (admittedly concretely) Beer "Garden While during the winter months a free broth is available for all in a tureen. Beautiful it is too. Worth going all of it's own ! Plus, you have excellent real ale bars like the Tap and Spile 2 minutes walk away, and the Magnesia Bank 7 minutes walk away and the Tynemouth lodge 10 mins walk away. There? other good ones locally too for the real ale fan !
