El Greco in Castlederg started life as a takeaway but has developed over the years into something more – a gourmet takeaway and restaurant. It’s still only a small place, seating a maximum of 30 or so people, but is very proud of its reputation for turning out fresh and quality food in good-sized portions. Despite the name, it’s not exclusively Greek food here and they have a wood-fired oven which is ideal for imparting real flavour to pizzas and meat dishes. Accompanying sauces are all prepared fresh and with the open kitchen at El Greco you can watch the chefs at work. Produce is all locally sourced with meats from Omagh and dairy from Castlederg itself. El Greco is open from 3pm-10.15pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
