HAD A NEW YEARS EVE LUNCH FOR ME MY WIFE AND SON ALL THREE MEALS WHERE AGAIN ! EXCELLENT QUALITY AND SERVICE TOP CLASS STAFF, WE ATE IN THE BAR AREA AND AGAIN ! MY FAVOURITE AREA BUT THE RESTURAUNT IS FANTASTIC FOR PARTIES WANTING A GREAT MEAL.TOTALLY RECOMMENDED.

Restaurant is very nice, took a little while for our order to be taken, and again for drinks and food to arrive but we were enjoying our conversation so it didn't matter. Ordered from the small plate menu, very generous portions! Staff were very polite and friendly.

I ended up going to the bar to be told its table service and they would send someone over. After 10 mins they took our order and we waited another 10 mins for the drinks and our tokens The food was very nice as it always has been over the years. We then had to wait again for deserts menu it was only because I caught the eye of tje main waiter that he sent someone over The table service is rubbish to be honest quite frustrating which is a shame because the food is really good plus it was half empty so God knows what it would be like on a busy day

Very attentive at the table asking if we wanted more drinks….No. we just wanted the food we ordered over an hour ago… When it came to paying the bill…No apologies for the lateness of food. Just wanted full payment. When we mentioned about the delay….we were told we should have pre-ordered as there were 8 of us….SORRY but this is YOUR restaurant. You make the rules. YOU decide about ordering or your ability to cope with a half full restaurant. DONT put it on the paying customer. ALSO they said ITS A SATURDAY YOU HAVE TO EXPECT IT TO BE BUSY AND A SLOW SERVICE……NO!!!!! YOU should deal with the situation and employ more staff. Other restaurants do.

Staff very smart and lovely. The experiance was fab. Definitly going back. Recomend to anyone who loves english breakfast. We did wait a while but was worth the wait.
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughWe booked for Tocketts mill for Christmas Eve and was looking forward to it. But it was very disappointing! We were sat in the conservatory where it was so cold it become uncomfortable. We had to ask them to put the heaters on as it was only every other.. To start the waitress dropped the drinks on our table and they went everywhere. Easy done! Then we were left 40 minutes before the time our order was taken, they said they were busy. I am a regular and it was not over busy. Starters came and the waitress dropped all the garlic bread off my plate on to the table. Main meals came we ordered three parmo’s and each person left half of them as they were so over cooked. The steaks were cold. We were in there four and a half hours. I was very disappointed. The staff are so young and not guided and it’s sad to see. I felt for them.

We did not choose the conservatory and would not wish to be seated there again in cool/cold weather Our main issue was the wait for food once ordered. We waited 1 hour 30 minutes for the food to reach our table. While I appreciate they were busy there should have been enough staff to cover the extra work! Saying that though our food was nice and up to their usual standard

Ordered drinks when we sat down and was handed menus that offered nothing gluten free. I said that I had stated this on the booking form, didn't get much of a reply. I asked if they could change the fish and chips or the parmo to gluten free, which is not difficult and was met with oh no we can't do that. It's not an alien concept! You need to get with the times.

The service let it down to be honest as it was so slow. We waited 50 minutes for the food and had to ask where it was and the drinks also was very slow. I would recommend people to come tho as it was a lovely atmosphere and good value for money
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughWe use this restaurant regularly and until Christmas Eve have never had cause to complain. The restaurant was busy, atmospheric and staff lovely however the flow of food from the kitchen was slow, non existent at times. Nobody in the restaurant was eating and the mood changed. Our meal was serviced 90 minutes after placing the order and that was 1 minute from the deadline we had before leaving. It was a reduced menu so this should have been planned and organised. Two of our meals were lovely mine however was very poor, the fish was well cooked but had been dumped straight on the plate so the peas and chips were swimming in grease. I ate the fish flesh and left everything else as soggy chips and batter are not acceptable. Your only saving grace is the frontline staff who must have put up with so much that night, they remained pleasant and polite. Your manager, I actually felt quite sorry for him as it was obvious he knew everybody was unhappy, tried to dissolve difficult situations. We will go back in the future but only because of previous visits, had this been the first it would have been a different story.

Two cod and chips absolutely swimming in oil had to drain it off ourselves into pots. Chops so soggy in oil. Management aware thought it was juice from peas ! Advised not happy with meal got a slightly reduced bill. The 3 meals should have been removed due to the state of them. I know staff are busy on Xmas Eve but please management don’t take too many bookings that the staff and under pressure and can’t cope. Also we were freezing in the conservatory area and if we were advised of that we would not have booked Service staff were lovely not their fault
