Majority of food was top notch, two of the diners commented that the meat in the stake pie was dry and the pastry was hard at the edges Parmo, mussels, beef stroganoff and scampi was 10 out of 10
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughWe attended with my in-laws for their Birthdays and the staff on entrance were extremely helpful and attentive. Once seated we were asked for our drinks order and were left to decide food. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Staff came to the table throughout and checked the everything was ok. The only thing that spoilt our evening was the volume of music. We couldn’t hear what the person on the other side of the table was saying because of the loudness of the music. It would have been ideal if we were out on the town on a Friday night but not while eating and trying to talk. We asked for the music to be turned down, which they did but unfortunately it was only half an hour before it was back to where it originally was. It was such a shame that something as simple as background music could spoil our evening when that’s all it should of been “background music”

Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughThe Sunday carvery was very good but I was not at all impressed with what on the dessert menu was listed as strawberry pavlova with chantilly cream. In fact what was supposed to be pavlova was a pile of cream with a few slices of strawberry in it sprinkled sparingly with crumbled mini meringue and 1 pink mini meringue plus a few raspberries and berries in juice. Was more like a frugal Eton mess overloaded with cream. Very disappointing and certainly not as described. I did mention it to the waitress and asked her to pass on my comments to the appropriate person. No complaints about the staff who are very pleasant and efficient.

I personally liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and the service was excellent. I chose the stroganoff and it was delicious. We cannot wait to return again . Highly recommended and would certainly give 5 stars.
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughWe had a lovely lunch. We choose the light bite menu which has plenty of choice. I had the cod gougons and my sister the steak and ale pie. Both were delicious and filling. We then had dessert, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake. Again delicious. Service was great ( thanks Mark) Prices are good. The log fire was on plus the radiators yet the door was held open ( we were in the bar) Because of this there was a cold wind blowing in which spoilt it a bit. People were asking to move. We were near the fire yet it still affected us. Apparently they are not allowed to close it. This is a silly rule, not the staff’s fault.
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughFirst time at the Sunday carvery as we normally visit on a weekday. Food was absolutely lovely and the meat was melt in the mouth standard. One of our party has some health issues and found sitting in the conservatory area was a little too cold (even though there was heating on). When we asked if it would be possible to move into the restaurant the staff were excellent and moved all our drinks and belongings over for us. Cannot thank the staff enough for the way they treated us. Will definitely be visiting again.
