From the outside we expected an old country inn but inside it was very chic and modern and spotless. There is a bar menu available between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. with all meals at £5. There was a good variety and the steak and chips (just that, no tomatoes or ghastly 'salad') was excellent. Real chips, none of the frozen variety, made the meal! The real ale was Black Sheep and served at the correct, room temperature. We visited on April 3rd and would like to return but live 60 miles away.
