About White Swan

White Swan on North Quay in Great Yarmouth is home to the freshest fish and seafood in the area – whether you’re purchasing it from the fishmongers or enjoying it freshly prepared for you in the restaurant. The business was established by Paul Williams, a local fisherman with over 30 years experience, and he prides himself on sourcing the best quality fish and seafood, both from his own boats and other local fishermen. Paul also has his own smokehouse at Caister-on-Sea and is the only person in this area to prepare and smoke Kippers, Bloaters and Red Herring using the traditional Great Yarmouth method. The restaurant offers a wide selection of fish and seafood dishes and the specials board changes regularly.  There is also a meat alternative as well as vegetarian options plus a children’s menu is available. The restaurant is open for lunch Tuesday to Saturday and in the evenings Thursday to Saturday.

Had a family lunch, each of us having different mains and enjoying our food choices of mussels, cod, scampi and the tagliatelle. I would say the toasted bread was a little too hard to eat for both the children and adults, and would next time ask for it untoasted. The staff were friendly and attentive, & the restaurant wasy cosy and full of character.

We had a family birthday meal there on the Wednesday Fish and Chip Supper night, it was delicious. The portion sizes were amazing, as were the staff. Will definitely be going back.

Another brilliant meal. I went just for the smoked salmon pate which was more than big enough for lunchtime. My partner had the special of fresh tuna which both looked and apparently tasted excellent. The White Swan never fails.

Had the most amazing lunch with my mum for my birthday , the food was delicious and the staff were amazing we have already booked to come again absolutely recommend a visit. The music at times was a little loud when trying to have a conversation as my mum has a struggle to hear sometimes but I’m sure if I had mentioned it the staff would of acted didn’t spoil our lunch at all x

Lovely menu we were spoilt for choice, but as it was afternoon we both opted for fish and chips. Options on the day were plaice or cod. We both opted for the plaice, which was excellent and cooked to perfection. The batter was thin and crispy, homemade chips that were not greasy served with garden peas, tartare sauce and lemon wedge. Finished off with Sticky toffee pudding which again was excellent. Drinks reasonably priced. Staff very welcoming and service good. Will definitely return when in the area again.
