About White Swan

White Swan on North Quay in Great Yarmouth is home to the freshest fish and seafood in the area – whether you’re purchasing it from the fishmongers or enjoying it freshly prepared for you in the restaurant. The business was established by Paul Williams, a local fisherman with over 30 years experience, and he prides himself on sourcing the best quality fish and seafood, both from his own boats and other local fishermen. Paul also has his own smokehouse at Caister-on-Sea and is the only person in this area to prepare and smoke Kippers, Bloaters and Red Herring using the traditional Great Yarmouth method. The restaurant offers a wide selection of fish and seafood dishes and the specials board changes regularly.  There is also a meat alternative as well as vegetarian options plus a children’s menu is available. The restaurant is open for lunch Tuesday to Saturday and in the evenings Thursday to Saturday.

Another lovely meal at The White Swan, great variety of fish options, good wine selection and brilliant service in pleasant surroundings with lively atmosphere. Great to have all this in one place. Will definitely be back when in the area agein.

Lovely food, great staff and reasonable prices. Good menu for seafood lovers. The restaurant was very loud when we were there,,lots of kids around. In retrospect we should have gone a little later. However we enjoyed our experience and will definitely return.

What a fantastic find! Traveled from Norwich to give it a go as we're lovers of fish and trying to find the perfect restaurant was hard to find, until now. Excellent choice on the menu, hard to choose what to eat, quality ingredients, expertly cooked, beautifully presented! Will be back very soon, to work out way through the menu!!!!

Superb value. We started with scallops and a superb fish chowder, followed by a beautifully cooked Dover soul, and mussels in white wine. We had 6 glasses of white wine, a sauv. blanc, Chablis, sancere and a gavi. The total was around £120. Everything was excellent, and the wine list, while limited by some standards, is very well balanced, with a focus on whites. For the price, the wines were excellent and all very typical of the styles. The restaurant seems to be well known for its fish and chips, but don't dismiss it, the cooking on the rest of the menu is excellent.

I knew about this fish restaurant but had never visited. I can say if I lived closer it would be a weekly event lol… food amazing! Can’t wait to visit again. We ate quite early at 16:15 so didn’t experience the evening restaurant vibes but still pleasant and staff were lovely.
