Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeFriendly staff and unbelievable dishes. I had the Cafe Fish Stew and my partner had the Tom Yam. Both very delicious and a very generous amount of seafood in both.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeHappiness is a place called Cafe Fish. Our meal was perfect. Fresh oysters, first class. Cullen Skink that’s an absolute must have and halibut cooked to perfection Wash it down with a bottle of Sancerre and feel the bliss.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeThis is a jewel of a restaurant - the setting is fantastic on the bay at Tobermory, the staff are really friendly and professional and the food is just outstanding. A great night, thank you again so much.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeI love this restaurant! One of the best seafood restaurants in Scotland in my opinion. Great seafood great quality and great service!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeThe food might sound delicious on the menu, but in reality it is just a cheap mock imitation of what the previous owners done. The chips were not homemade and were "tandoori chips", the chicken was cheap, the burger meat was precooked, the "spice" and "salt.
Fat Pattys – Argyll and ButeFine dinning at its best. Having eaten in many of the popular restaurant this by far is best in the west of scotland. Value for money most certainly.Attention to detail certainly in every way. You enter a stranger and leave a friend. Staff give 100 to all guest also directors always in attendance they go that extra mile to make your eating experience special. look i could bang on but try it for yourself you will not be disappointed
Piccolo Mondo Renfrew – Argyll and ButeThis shop holds a Quality Award from the national Federation of Fish Friers. You can be certain that the Fish and Chips here will be excellent
The Royal Burgh Cafe – Argyll and Buteexcellent meal, value for money. Pleasant staff. clean premises. My friend and I visiting when in Johnstone.
Andy’s Golden Fry Fish and Chips – Argyll and ButeGood for lunch time food, thought better to order in advance if on a tight timescale. Lasagna a bit hit or miss. Good for a night out, busy and lively. DJ playing old school tunes and doesn't take itself too seriously. Good end of night venue, although probably better to be slightly inebriated on arrival.
Kilty Kilty – Argyll and ButeDeli Malatso is right in the town centre of Paisley. It can be found on the town's High Street, right at the corner of Orr Square. They serve a wide variety of food, including paninies, baguettes, soup and burgers. You can also treat yourself to a coffee, or to a Brewhaha tea. This is a brilliant cafe, and if you're making a day of it in Paisley, this is certainly somewhere you can relax and treat yourself. The food and drink are great, and so is the service!
Deli Malatso – Argyll and ButeI attended the Wheelhouse having been hungry and passing by at the time. The setting was nice however upon driving into the car park I thought for a place like this at lunchtime, during a weekend - why is it not full???! My first gut instincts should have led me elsewhere but I was intrigued. I ordered a chicken sandwich with soup and a soda water and lime seeing as the menu was quite expensive!!!! My partner ordered a burger and chips and a soda water and lime. We were both taken back at just how many staff were on hand on the day, given the place was dead! Although they were friendly I did think that something was not right... and my assumptions became true when I had my lunch. Not only was the bread dry and hard, the chicken mayonnaise filling was not nice and I did not finish it. Upon receiving the bill I was UTTERLY DISGUSTED to have to pay £2.50 each for two soda water and lime drinks (I MEAN FIZZY WATER WITH A DASH OF CORDIAL - WHERE IS THE JUSTIFICATION FOR THAT??!!) I complained to the staff when paying at the bar and said I can tell you this much I will not be coming back here again.... and the weird thing was... he was totally in support of my concerns saying yes it is shocking and a number of people have complained... he then proceeded to give me the Managing Directors business card... which I will be sure to contact!
The Wheelhouse – Argyll and ButeMy first impression of this amazing place was the long windy road from hotel's gates over their noisy wooden bridge. A stunning property set in its very own island. My second impression was that it needed a bit of tlc in certain areas and a bit of modernisation of the Spa and sports facilities. Perhaps the high rollers who frequent similar establishments in the UK would have a real problem with this. However these negatives were overwhelmed by the abundant positives. The food on the Friday night was outstanding. Considering our party has eaten in many Michelin restaurants this was some praise. The service matched the quality of cuisine and was again comparable if not better than most of the other restaurants I have eaten in. Very professional and knowledgeable as well as being friendly and chatty at times. We all particularly liked the Italian wine waiter who was a real character. Having my first up close view of the resident badger was also quite an experience. I guess the most unique aspect of The Isle of Eriska is just that, it is a private island and we enjoyed a beautiful 3 hour walk around it one day. We would definitely return and it is one of the best places I have stayed.
Isle of Eriska – Argyll and ButeWe were recommended The George by a friend with great knowledge of Scotland and it did not disappoint! Our room was excellent and the bar/restaurant had real character and charm. The award winning food hit the spot too. I asked who owned the business when I checked out and was informed the place is 5th generation in the same family. That says it all. Go there....
