We had a lovely evening for my brothers 70th birthday, the staff were all nice and friendly. Good food and drink.

The food is some of the best in the area and never disappoints. Add to it some great songs and helpful staff and it’s an amazing place to go out and eat

We totally enjoyed the experience at the Crowded House. The food is great and well priced. I also liked the imaginative menu. Above all the service is great with friendly staff who give great service, on hand to attend to you and explain everything about the restaurant

Had a very nice meal here prior to going to the theatre. Great price for 2 courses & very nice food. Staff very friendly & welcoming.

Lovely place and great food, had to wait for our drinks and our food longer than we would have liked - we were hungry and had been saving ourselves for nice food. Busy place but great value for a pre theatre meal and the menu choices are enough for a reduced menu. Food was fresh and really tasty and well presented. I would suggest going at 5pm for pre theatre, no later.

Booked at 5.30 for pre theatre meal. Waited for drinks, then the waiter had to return and ask what we had ordered. Waited over an hour for our starters which both required no cooking - they were salad and pate. By 7pm we still hadn’t received our main so decided to leave as we wouldn’t have time to get to the theatre. It was busy, but we thought booking for 5.30 would have been enough time. Don’t take that many pre theatre bookings if you can’t cope with the orders. Won’t be coming again.

Beautiful authentic food which was served by the friendliest waiting staff. An absolute gem of a restaurant in Manchester. Excellent value.

As always, the food and service were excellent. We visited to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. Can’t recommend this place enough!

The geese starters are not as good as in the past a bit greesy main courses were excellent The Turkish wine is too expensive and there should be a selection of other reasonably priced wines the Sauvignon blanc at £22 approx is of very poor quality need to have a choice of other wines other than turkish

Service was amazing, atmosphere was so so nice and food was lovely. My favourite place to come to for cocktails, staff are always brilliant and attentive !

Great food, friendly staff, nice enviroment. Early meal deal is great value, protions not the biggest but good value for the price and are just enough.

Overall an enjoyable experience and a tasty pre theatre meal. The major downside was the extortionate price of drinks. Nearly £7 for a small bottle of Peroni!!!!!

The perfect place to visit on a sunny afternoon! The place has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere and great decor! It looks like it catches the sun all afternoon - the placed was bathed with light when we went in at 5pm. The place was full but not rammed and the service was really friendly and efficient! It looked like it was a really fun place to work to be honest! Then comes the best bit! The food!! First off, portions are big - which isn't essential but was really appreciated, everything about this place says generosity! I had the roast option which is basically a Jamaican take on a Sunday Roast I suppose and if you're one for sweet roast veg with light fresh rice and spicy succulent soft BBQed meats with that zingy coating with absolutely filthy (in a good way) proper Mac n cheese... well this is the place. Honestly this is such an absolute win for Chorlton! Personally, i'm sick of everyone selling pizza here - Let's be honest, it's not a style or taste thing, it's a profit margin thing. I get it that hospitality's struggling at the moment but the Drop proves to everyone else that a genorous exciting dining experience for around £15 - £25 a head is still possible! An absolute gem.

I had high hopes for this places, as I was recommended. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed, I couldn’t believe 3 small pieces of jerk chicken cost £14.50. If you wanted extra rice, that was £3 and extra gravy was £2 but this came in a small dipping pot. The food was very mediocre and lacked flavour if I’m being honest. In terms of value for money, I would say it’s expensive for what you are getting. My friend order the chicken stew & dumpling, but there were no dumplings with her stew. When we asked about it the waiter didn’t seem to have a clue as to what was going on, moments later. I believe the chef or owner brought out a small dish which contained more carrots and potatoes, advised this is the ‘dumplings’. The cocktails were also very disappointing, there were no flavour and all I could taste was the alcohol. Both myself and my friend were unable to drink this. Although the staff were friendly, they weren’t vigilant In terms of checking on tables or making sure you had cutlery to use prior to you food arriving. I got a very much ‘whatever’ vibe from them. There’s a lot of improvement that needs to be made and unfortunately I won’t be returning.
