Nine miles north of York in Sutton-on-the-Forest, the 200-year-old Rose and Crown pub has built up a fantastic reputation for its food and boasts an AA rosette and a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Fish and seafood are specialities with the choice of menus including a la carte, a classics menu, Sunday lunch, light bites and an early bird. Fresh ingredients are delivered daily and the menus change with the seasons. There is an extensive wine list and a good selection of real ales. The dining room at the Rose and Crown has recently had a new conservatory extension added and the tropically themed outdoor terrace features an impressive Breeze House heated gazebo and seating for up to 40 guests.
