The Chocolate Café in Ramsbottom, owned by baker and entrepreneur Paul Morris, and his wife Emma, combines a wide range of local and luxury European produce with a warm Lancashire welcome. After working on the French Riviera for three years, the couple were inspired to bring influences of French café culture to their home town. The two-storey licensed café and chocolate shop overlooks the market place, next to Edward Allington's iconic Tilted Vase bronze sculpture. With a choice of 14 different hot chocolates, available to drink in the cafe or to purchase in the shop, and a selection of 20 whole leaf teas, including Chocolate Tea, the Chocolate Café is capitalising on providing Britain's favourite comfort items - amazing chocolate and an unbeatable cup of tea. Signature dishes such as Steak and Vegetables in Chocolate Beer, Chilli made with 100% pure cocoa and traditional thick cut sandwiches are also building the café's reputation as a superb lunch-time venue. Solid Belgian chocolate pizzas made on site, complete with delivery boxes, have also been a huge hit with locals, as has Chocolate Beer, which pleases beer connoisseurs and chocoholics alike. And as demand for luxury chocolate in the town reaches new heights, the Chocolate Café hosts range of chocolate events including Ramsbottom's Annual Chocolate Festival.
