Bouzouki By Night was established in 1987 and its lively atmosphere makes it the perfect place for all special occasions like hen nights, birthdays, work parties and anniversaries. They specialize in the Meze Greek Banquet with more than 15 dishes served to the middle of the table for people to share in true Greek style. To finish off they have a great selection of desserts which you can order individually or share a Desserts Platter so that you can taste them all. After the meal you will be invited to join in the dancing and singing with live Greek music from the resident band. The waiter dancers will show you the steps to all the Greek dances and they have special "surprises" for the people that are celebrating. They also have some theme highlights during the course of the evening such as a belly dancing competition for ladies, the wine dance for men, Zorba’s dance around the restaurant, sing-alongs and lots more. To finish the night they have a disco hour with all the current club and dance hits including some golden oldies until 2am. Bouzouki By Night as a venue is available for private hire on Sundays and pre arranged early week days with a capacity for up to 160 people. In addition, they can cater for corporate bookings and provide facilities for business presentations with a large screen projector, wi-fi and full pa system. Campfield Arcade, Tonman Street, Deansgate, Manchester City Centre, M3 4FN - 0871 963 2743

Dimitri's is nothing less than a Manchester institution, providing one of the city's most popular and atmospheric dining experiences. It's right at the Castlefield end of Deansgate, opposite the new Hilton Hotel, and makes great use of its appealing location, the Campfield Arcade with its distinctive glass and ironwork. There's an intimate bar fronting onto Deansgate which at weekends features live music along with a late licence. The food served here is the scaled-down version of a main menu that covers a wide range of Mediterranean classics, with an emphasis on Greek food. The restaurant itself is to the rear and can cater for 150 inside, with additional seating for another 50 or so in the arcade. Despite its size, Dimitri's can still get really crowded with the buzzy surroundings and affordable Med food making for an irresistible combination.

As well as being a TV celebrity chef who had her own series on Sky (‘Simply Greek’ and ‘World On A Plate’), Kosmos proprietor and head chef Loulla Astin has been at the helm of this legendary Greek taverna since it opened in Fallowfield in 1981. But the story goes back even earlier because her father Solos opened Manchester’s first kebab shop on Oxford Street back in 1969. Loulla visited Buckingham Palace in 2008 to meet the Queen and receive an award for services to the hospitality industry, the latest in many plaudits that both she and the restaurant have picked up over the years. Kosmos still offers one of the best value deals in town for students and all the food is freshly prepared and GM-free. There is also now a large selection of home-made Greek desserts.

Chef-patron Peter opened his own Greek taverna in Stockport in summer 2005 after having spent ten years working in some of the northwest’s top Greek and Mediterranean kitchens. Light and airy, the 60-cover restaurant is situated on the first floor and has a varied and extensive menu which is predominantly Greek but also includes some Mediterranean options. Dishes like the kleftico, moussaka and kalamarkia stin sxara (charcoal grilled squid with garlic and chilli) are house specialities and the daily specials board offers lots more fish and seafood choices. There are also meze banquets and good-value lunch and early bird set menus. Rozafa Taverna is open for lunch Monday to Friday and for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday and is also a very popular venue for large private functions.
