Adjacent to the Theatre Royal in the heart of Newcastle, Starters & Puds is a new concept in leisurely eating. It’s a totally flexible dining experience – so much so that if you’re visiting the theatre you can have your savoury course before the show and pre-order your puddings for after. The menu has a wide choice of starters and you can order as many dishes as you wish, sharing around the table Med style. Or if you prefer, you can order a larger version of any dish. Then there’s an equally mouthwatering selection of desserts -- ranging from traditional puds like rhubarb and ginger crumble to continental favourites such as tiramisu and tarte tatin. Starters & Puds is housed in the vaults of an old bank, an atmospheric world of barrel-vaulted ceilings and open brickwork. There are various rooms to choose from, including the panelled Oak Room which is ideal for private dining.
