Pilgrims at Lovington – Castle CaryYummy food, friendly staff, great night. My favorite restaurant of all time! Whenever anyone asks me where I'd like to go and eat out, I say here! You won't be disappointed!!!
Sousta Greek Taverna – CongresburyWow! What a great little find. This place is just lovely! Food, drinks and staff just right. Loved my dinner, as did my friend, and we'll be back for more soon. Might have my birthday celebrations here this year, they have a back room/area you can book. Highly recommend to anyone. Also as a veggie lots nice options for me, will have to go back to try more! Just so yummy!
Ocean Cafe – CliftonGreat food served up by pleasant and helpful hosts, with excellent grounds for BBQ which I was told would become available later in the year. There are also I believe 5 separate rooms for accommodation each with en suite. There is an attached railway carriage to the pub which is used as a restaurant, and tastefully decorated to maintain its unique character. As for the rest of the pub there is always something different to catch your eye whilst enjoying your food ,or just having a quiet drink, like a working model railway above your head or even the front of a car on the wall. Perhaps the old 45s fixed on one of the walls would be of interest. Well worth finding the time to visit, and indulge yourself. I did and have returned more than once.
The Old Station Inn & Carriage Restaurant – Stanton WickWe recently had a set meze, all 18 of us ! and I would highly recommend it. Great Service, Great Food and we couldn't finish it all. Just when you think there wont be any more food served another course arrives. I don't there was any course which wasn't enjoyed by us. All the dishes were excellent. Value was great! I will definitely be going again and I will be trying one of main dishes.
Entelia – Clifton18 of us recently had a set meze and can highly recommend it!. Food was great! we struggled to eat all the courses!. It was great value, great service in a nice modern relaxed setting. Will be trying the main dishes next time! as there will be a next time!
Entelia – CliftonThis has become one of our favourite brizzle restaurants! We go down to the harbourside and happily avoid the waterfront, instead opting for delicious cocktails and food (my favourite is the Fillet steak sarnie with lovely melted cheese ... or maybe the fish n chips!
The Living Room – Bristol City Centrewe been to spicy aroma and we had good quality of food nice and fresh.the deco was very nice and good atmosphere aswell as friendly service.
Spicy Aroma – Portisheadwe had a meal at spicy aroma and we had good quality of food nice & fresh taste. there were nice deco and atmosphere.
Spicy Aroma – Portisheadwe have been to spicy aroma it has a good combination of food the staff and services are very good and helpful.the Indian food variety was amazing the taste was splendid.i recommend this to every one the best restaurants so far i ever tasted.we never tasted chicken shatkora like that anywhere else simply the best. we enjoyed our meal in the comfy place.easy to park in front of the restaurant.you should try this out once you come you will come again and again!
Spicy Aroma – PortisheadMy wife took me for my birthday. Cost a lot of money for food that was clean but not exciting. It may just be me but the Indian restaurant across the road would have been equally veggie and much more tasty at a quarter the price. Sorry but consider moving to Clifton.
Cafe Galatea – GlastonburyBeing new to Bristol, this was one of the first places recommended to me. Wasn't convinced when I first got there, but 1st impressions are very much misleading in this case. Excellent food in very friendly surroundings, great service and a really good range of dishes, including the excellent 9.99 box option, for starter, main course, rice/noodles and salad. Been back there each week for the last 3 weeks and never been disappointed.
Thai Kitchen – Bristol City CentreJUST VERY BLAND. We had a takeaway Onion Bhajis very dry Chicken Tikka Disappointing & flavourless with very dry chicken Chicken Pathia - tasty but not like any other I have had, again very dry chicken Keema Nan - smallest I have had almost a mini nan but ok Garlic Nan - no comment as was missing from order Pilau rice - DRY I know this review won't appear but please feed back as we were planning on being repeat customers after reading older reviews. NOT NOW though
Saffron – AlmondsburyHaving found it by accident, we have been to Mamma Mia 4 times now. The food is always reasonably priced and of good quality. Staff are always welcoming, helpful and efficient. We chose to go there for a meal on New Year's Eve when I had flu in its last throes and we were made to feel a real part of the extended family with hugs and kisses all round at midnight. We are going there again tonight and intend to book for New Year again.
Mamma Mia – Bristol City CentreHaving lived in Bristol for almost 4 years now, I still hadn’t managed to get round to eating at San Carlo. Until Friday! After all the recommendations and wholehearted endorsements, I finally booked a table for myself and my husband. I must state that our expectations were naturally high, but am pleased to say that we were not disappointed. Service, wine and especially the food were all absolutely fantastic and we are looking forward to passing on our experiences to those as yet unaware.
San Carlo – Bristol City CentreVisited the old fish market pub (which houses the Thai kitchens)for the 3rd time in 2 visits to Bristol. The food is very fresh and very tasty...and AMAZING value for money. The pub and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. We took our children 9 and 11 yrs on our last visit and stayed for 3 hrs (7-10pm). Its a must to eat the food and drink the wine (with recommendations from helpful staff).HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!! A++++++++
Thai Kitchen – Bristol City CentreThe environment is excellent but service, food and value were hugely disappointing. A gaggle of teenage staff ignored us on entry, setting the tone for the evening. Two starters were delivered whilst the other two in our party waited a further 15 minutes for their starter (bread & oil would you believe). The Manager promised that the main course would be trouble free. Admittedly they were all delivered together but here comes a piece of advice - avoid the Beef & Beer Pie at all costs. For £16 it contained 2 small chunks of beef, filled out by carrots and potatoes. The rest of the food was adequate but seriously over-priced. I hope we caught it on a bad day - but we will never know because it won't be getting another chance
Mezzè at The Ship and Castle Congresbury – CongresburyThe views are brilliant of the Cathedral, dishes are imaginative and the food is good, but it isn't the best restaurant in Somerset. That accolade goes to one just across the road in Wells - Goodfellows.
The Old Spot – WellsScrumptious Cream Tea, £20pp. Add a bottle of Prosecco for £20. Pre-booking required.
