Pizza Provencale – CliftonNice pub, good staff (except Kev and Scouse), beer out standing, has a great feel about the place and is very welcoming. The food is outstanding and the new manager and his team have really turned it in to a very special place. P.S they have really great cleaners
The Windsor Castle – Weston Super MareFantastic to stumble across such a gem! Really great food (really, really) and for just over a tenner, I was stuffed and couldn't finish it. Highly recommended to everyone, even sushi virgins.
Obento – Bristol City CentreExcellent meal, my wife ordered fish off there specials board, the quality, preparation and presentation was impeccable. I opted for a Carpaccio starter which was just cooked enough and a veal with porcini mushrooms as my main course which was a little heavy on sauce, but still almost flawless. Would definitely return
Aqua Restaurant and Bar – BathWow what a find, I thought I could never rediscover the tastes that I experienced whilst on holiday in Cyprus how wrong I was, and to find Aphrodites just a stones throw away was a real treat. A beautifully decorated restaurant with the ancient Greece theme all over and the food was simply excellent, all the food I ate whilst on holiday on one menu. The service again faultless and the wines all Greek and Cypriot brought back fond memories. A great place to eat and drink. Recommended to all.
Aphrodites Restaurant – TauntonA jewel in the middle of Taunton - you might not expect such quality on Station Road, but it's definitely worth a visit
Lotus Flower – TauntonThe whole experience was EXCELLENT!!!
Sousta Greek Taverna – CongresburyAs a salesman I travel all over the UK and have eaten in all types of restaurants. Sousta has to be the best Greek Restaurant that I have ever eaten in. I will definitely be going back when I? in the area.
Sousta Greek Taverna – CongresburyNever tried Greek food before but I can truly recommend it to anybody who is thinking about eating Greek. The Kleftico was mouth watering the lamb just fell of the bone. and the home made Mousaka was delicious Top marks Roger Davies
Sousta Greek Taverna – CongresburyCongratulations to all the staff at Sousta for making this restaurant very special indeed!! From the moment we entered the building we felt that we were on holiday. The food ,service and staff were excellent!! Well done. See you Again
Sousta Greek Taverna – CongresburyFrom the moment I walked into the restaurant until the second I left I was faced with warm hospitality, and friendly faces. The service was second to the none and the food super. I was impressed with the speed at which I was greeted and shown a table, then equally by the delivery time of my food. With such quality food and service you would have expected the food to be expensive.... not the case. If you are looking for a great place for business lunch, or somewhere pleasant to relax with friends and loved ones this is the place. Be warned since this is also a night venue it pays to get in before the clubbers to make the most of what this marvellous place has to offer.
Antix – Bristol City CentreEat in or take away the food is always fantastic. The service is excellent. The restaurant is always busy so don't risk disappointment by turning up hoping a table will be free, make sure you book. I drive 8 miles just for a take away from this place.
Saffron – AlmondsburyI was getting bored of eating out at various Chinese/ Indian/ Cantonese etc etc so when I found there was a Greek restaurant in town I thought I would give it a go and I am very glad I did, the food is excellent, the choice outstanding, the service is spot on and they have managed to create an atmosphere where you do not feel crowded in with other customers, the music level is just right, I have been back many times and will continue to do so.
Aphrodites Restaurant – TauntonRomantic, secluded and intimate, with excellent food! Original menu and family run :) May need booking for larger parties, as it's not massive.
Sergios Italian Restaurant – Bristol City CentreOne of my fav places to go. The food is always great as is the service. Great range of thai food, from not hot but tasty to very hot and tasty. Friendly helpful staff, great atmosphere. Well segregated smoking/non smoking areas.
Mai Thai – BathMenu was a little daunting as it was they had Japanese names for the dishes, although there were some pictures to help. Staff were very helpful in guiding us through though. But we were totally amazed when we saw and tasted the food. It was the first time we actually had Japanese food, and it tasted so fresh and authentic, we are now addicted. Highly recommended!
Obento – Bristol City CentreFairy tale pretty thatch roofed pub at the foot of the picturesque Quantock hills. Reasonably priced menu makes the most of local produce - Quantock rabbit, Village reared pork, Triscombe pheasant, local russet apples and blackberries from the hedge across the road! I can recommend the roast wood pigeon with creamed Savoy, cider potatoes and a little pigeon pie, and the sticky ginger ale cake with butterscotch ripple ice cream. Top notch.
Blue Ball Inn – TauntonFood was tasty, service was friendly and fast. Atmosphere cosy but lots of space. Huge range of food on menu although the sweet menu could have more choice of lighter sweets, i.e. sorbets, fruit salads etc
The Albion – PortisheadScrumptious Cream Tea, £20pp. Add a bottle of Prosecco for £20. Pre-booking required.
