My boyfriend used to go on about how great this restaurant is, but I can only assume that it's gone downhill over time. The staff have never been friendly, and looked at me like something from the bottom of his shoe when I asked for the leftovers in a doggy bag. The food is pretty bland, and I ordered food to take out a little while back after waiting well over an hour they sent me out with the wrong order. You can imagine my disappointment when I bit into my "lamb" only to find it was fish. After that we've never bothered going back - there's a much, much better Indian round the corner called Royal Spice which I can't recommend highly enough.

This is far and away my favourite Indian in Barnsley. It might not look like much from the outside as it's up a stairway above a betting shop, but their curry is out of this world - always full of flavour and so tasty it puts most other Indian's in the shade. The staff are always very polite and friendly and I've ever never been disappointed. If you love curry you've got to give this place a try. It's right in the middle of town and stays open late, so it's perfect if you fancy a curry after you've had a night out in town. They also deliver.

Excellent food - best meat samosas I have ever tasted and agree with earlier reviewer that the Lamb Nahari is great. The service was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back

Turned up on a Sunday 13th Jan after been ill for 2 weeks.It was like a tonic, welcoming, cosy and felt like having won a prize for your own personal overnight 5 star break.David the proprietor and his staff give a experience from wine advice to avery 5 star meal at so affordable prices.If we were closer for Valentines we would book in.Local art adorns the walls and itblends the period hotel with a modern twist right down to thefloral art.well worth a visit

Super time here, we go as a group once per month and have always had a superb meal. Well done Ali and staff for creating a marvellous restaurant.

While visiting relatives in Hull we decided to visit the Bay Horse for a meal. We can fully recommend the food which is all home cooked. Michelle and Paul the licensees, are perfect hosts and there is a great atmosphere and a very warm welcome for everyone who enters the Bay Horse. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we will certainly be returning. Michelle's Banoffee pie is first class!

possibly the worst restaurant ive eaten in. very poor service, i think untrained child labour is the norm there. the worst food ive had and a lovely long wait for it too. seriously overpriced not advised

Had a lovely birthday meal at Thai Sabai on a cold wet January Monday! This place was excellent quality and value. All dishes really fresh and healthy and washed down with ice cold Thai beers. Service was also excellent. Anyone looking for unpretentious, great value Thai should try this place. Much better than some of the others in the area.

I've lived all over the UK and had many many curries. I would put the food at the Shama in my top 3 curry places i've eaten in. The Roti's are beautiful, fluffy and tasty! It looks a little old fashioned inside but thats just how a proper "Indian" restaurant in England should be! Nice and cold Cobra lager as well!

My boyfriend took me to Chaophraya for my birthday in August. The restaurant itself was absolutely beautiful, the service was fantastic, the atmosphere was great and it was the best food we have ever eaten. We will definitely be going there again next time we are in Leeds.

I would highly recommend Napoleans.I recently went in the new year for a sunday lunch.Ive already booked to go again (twice)!Everything is absolutely spot on. Excellent all round,the food,the staff,the surroundings and price.Superb! Could not fault it. Im making sure all my friends become members. Be sure to book early.

The food taste good but have had food poisoning from there twice so will not be returning. Since telling other people have discovered I'm one of many that has suffered the same fate.

Completely changed! Same owners as Spindle Tree in Wakefield which has great reputation for good pub food. We are regulars at the spindle and went along to Darrens new venture, hes got it spot on again. Black Bull menu more geared for families and lovely food again. Service good, food good (as we expected) and lovely pub.

I have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and never been disappointed, from the warm welcome to the stylish, modern interior and the fantastic food it is always a pleasure to dine there. Our last visit was on New Year's eve 2007, we booked a table for two at 7.30pm and the restaurant was fairly busy, we were seated a room off the main restaurant which is lovely, beaded curtains and round rug have converted an odd shaped room into an eye-pleasing circular dining area which is tastefully decorated in a modern thai style. The waiting staff are all oriental and extremely polite and helpful and the owner is ever present and circulates among guests advising on dishes where necessary. The wine menu is extensive and we ordered a rose (I forget the name -sorry) and they are reasonably priced too. While we were waiting for our food, they brought us spiced thai crackers in a basket, they are lovely and they will re-fill it free of charge if you ask! For our starter w ordered Tom Ka Guy which is a coconut flavour soup with Chicken - delicious. For main course we had Geng Massaman which is slow cooked beef with potatoes, Pad poh taek - mixed seafood with basil in a spicy red curry sauce, Egg Fried rice and Pad Thai - a traditional noodle dish dressed with crushed peanuts, the dishes are all coded with one to three chilli symbols depending on the heat. For pudding we opted for Thai Custard with caramalised shallots - a strange combination but very tasty - more like a cake consistency than custard. The bill came to a respectable £65 I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Thai food.
