Ate here last month and would wholeheartedly recommend going here. We didn't book but arrived early and only just got a table. The food, service and ambience were second to none. It is certainly worth trying - we will be going again.

I have eaten here many times over the years and have never been disappointed with a meal. The steak pie is very good, but then so is everything else. Lovely pub food with a good atmosphere. Plenty of tables outside for when the sun shines. Well worth a visit - you wont be disappointed.

Puts other Fish and Chip restaurants to shame - the taste? Simply beautiful :-)

We ate here last Friday and got there early so was able to get a table. I ordered a bacon and mushroom salad for starter and it was gorgeous - not too much, which was good as we had also requested bread which was home made and extremely unusual. Don't give this a miss, but remember when ordering your starter that the bread is tasty and filling. My husband ordered carrot and orange soup and was not disappointed. For our main meal we both ordered Salmon which was the best I have ever had. Both pieces were very large and came with an assortment of interesting vegetables - not the bog standard you get in most restaurants. We were too full to eat a pudding but they looked delicious. As we had got there early we had managed to eat of the early bird menu , so the whole bill came to £28.00 including a bottle of house white - excellent value for money. We will definitely be going here again but will book next time to ensure that we get a table.

We had a buffet meal. The food was decent, especially considering the price, £6.00 per head. Waiter agreed to cook us fresh tandoori roti rather than the damp naans available. We were disappointed with the layout of the place. It was pretty flat.

We have eaten here several times now and the food has always being excellent. The prawns are big, juicy and succulent! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good, authentic Thai food and a fair price.

This place is a little gem. The service is personal and very quick. The decor is above average with a good ambience. The food is excellent, especially the grilled king prawns. I would recommend a visit here for a very good night out.

This was our first time at Meze and was not disappointed. The food was excellent, I had king prawns, which were enormous and I had to leave some. We shared a bottle of house white which was very nice and cold. The staff were all very attentive, but we did not feel rushed. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and we will certainly be making another visit shortly.

Fantastic evening at this very lively restaurant. Accommodated 13 of us for my mums 60th.Gorgeous food, would certainly visit again and have the steak friend of mine had it and was very impressed. Ordered 2 bottles of average champagne and because it wasn’t available got Moet et Chandon at no extra cost. Fantastic!

Having been a visitor to Whitby for over 35 years I feel ashamed that last night 4/8/07 was my first visit to the Magpie. Queued for 30 mins to get a table but well worth the wait. Went for the 'small' portion of cod, chips, mushy peas, bread & butter plus 2 pots of proper tea. Absolutely fantastic. I have put down 'pricey' which it is if you compare to average chippies but this is well worth the extra cost. Service first class. will be back soon, going to try the Haddock next time.

This pub has been going from strength to strength for a while now, one of the best real pubs in Leeds. Food is alway good quality and a lovely friendly atmosphere, easy going, genuinely friendly staff, no put on smiles here they oose friendliness. As if they have known you for a while rather than just met you. Very impressed.

The food was gorgeous, the best meal i have had in a long time. To start with i had chicken and prawn parcels, and fried spring rolls. The taste was very unique. The food was very well priced. However i would say the bottled water was a little over priced. Also the surroundings were very nice. It was relaxed. The staff were very friendly. I will definitely be going back very soon. Overall very good. Would defiantly recommend. However was very busy and would recommend to book a table in advance.

The secret is out!, Best Indian restaurant in Yorkshire tucked away in little Darton! We used to many lovely places but we always admit, "Its NOT the Spice" and go back Good value and I'm a Scot (A Yorkshire man stripped of his generosity!) Brilliant!

Absolutely the place to eat for first class cooking and service. Fine ales, excellent value for money. A great welcome and very friendly host and staff.

A very enjoyable meal in ambient surroundings. It feels like you're on holiday.

we have been here quite a few times , normally in a group which we don't rate much as the service is slow, but this time we went as a couple and it was great. we had only ordered 35mins since when someone came and asked if we had eaten and when we said no he bought us free drinks and the food arrived within 10mins, we both had ordered the steak rodeo which was cooked(medium rare)perfect, which you get with the usual chips and peas but also a side dish of mushrooms tomatoes and onion rings all for the price of £12.95 which is excellent considering it is buy 2 for the price of 1, well worth it will be going back again.

I have been going to Aldo's for the past 15 years and the host Pino and his staff make this Italian restaurant feel like you are in the heart of Italy, not Cleckheaton!! Pino loves to sing and his interaction with the customers is second to none. The food is out of this world and you can even see the chefs cooking it and how hard they have to work to keep up with the orders. Aldo's is always full and this is because of the food, service and most of all the atmosphere. Keep up the great work guys.
