saffron desi york wow if you like a real curry you must try this place the nans are as big as my nan ha ha im not kidding they are huge this is a must try as the food is great and so is all the staff

Nice location. Slow service, not what I would expect from a restaurant with this reputation. Food was ok, only a notch above pub food though. Ambience was great. Worth visiting but only once, I don't think I will go again. Overall dining experience: 5/10

Blue sky is great the food is always lovely. i often come on Sunday the buffet is really good value from money eat as much as you want the menu has such a great wide range of choice i would definitely recommend you try this restaurant!

A unique experience and the best food I have ever tasted. The staff are friendly and helpful and the owner David is so knowledgeable about wine and food - this restaurant is a MUST to visit

Discover this little gem of a restaurant where the waiters are very friendly and the food excellent . I have even had a look in the kitchens which are spotless ! This family run business has just remodelled the restaurant and prides itself on its many 'regulars' . If you are nearby give it a try . I promise you will not be disappointed .

We eat regularly at this restaurant and feel it is by far the best curry house in Leeds. The service is always polite and professional and the food is always divine. :-)

The food was excellent, you must try the Meze (starters) and go for the kebab as main course, it must be the best restaurant I have been to in hull. A wide range of drinks available. 10 out of 10

food great.. service great.. price very good eat as much as you can for 13.50 (very good eaters we are) and this restaurant is the best...cater for large parties very friendly folk..:-)

Still a regular and still loving it!

The food here is excellent, specialising in fish and seafood. There is a mix of traditional and modern dishes catering for all tastes. The pub is separated into several different areas, creating different ambiences - but all buzzing with enjoyment from the occupants. Staff are friendly and attentive, but are not intrusive. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.

A very nice place, atmosphere and staff. Only one critisism was that the food was a bit pricey, but as like all restaurants rice etc. is extra, but at £7.00 per main dish which is what you'd expect to pay in a restaurant.

We were looking for somewhere to have a celebratory lunch, on the drive home from Newcastle following our daughter's graduation, and found The Frenchgate by chance on another website. We knew nothing about the place, but thought we'd take a chance. And, as it turned out, it was an excellent choice! It's set in the nicest part of Richmond, which in any case is a lovely town, and is a beautiful building, tastefully furnished and with a welcoming atmosphere. We were looked after by the proprietor, who really knows his stuff when it comes to food and wine. The food was marvellous - beautifully presented, and tasting even better than it looked. The three course lunch was amazingly inexpensive, and I'm quite sure we would have paid double in many restaurants 'down south'. We'll certainly return at a future date, to sample the dinner menu.

The food was very good but the waitresses need lessons in how to treat customers.

The place has got a cosmopolitan buzz about it and the food very good with a good choice. You may be forgiven for thinking that you weren't in Hull at all - which must be good.

I ate here for the first time since it has re-opened under new management. I was happily suprised at the change in the layout and the new decor is much better than before. We chose several tapas dishes and enjoyed every one, especially one of the specials that evening - Rabbit in a smokey sauce! Lovely village eatery!

That place is so bloody tasty, when I worked in Harrogate, I had no money and weighed two stone more than I do now becuase I went there every day for Lunch! Have some methadone ready for when you need to come off the high from that place, it's incredible

The Drum and Monkey is certainly one of the best restaurants in Harrogate and probably Yorkshire. Fantastic atmosphere and outstanding food! The staff are friendly and cheerful and it’s always an enjoyable visit for either lunch or dinner. I’d recommend the Queen Scallops and the Seafood Pie is the best I’ve found anywhere. Well worth a visit... or two!

The greeting was vary warm and welcoming, the staff were very friendly and the service was very good. The ambience of the restaurant was good and was very clean which made for a good relaxing meal. NOW the food...As said it was outstanding the portions were just right even for the larger pallet and the mix of spices were in proportion to the food not over powering. A real pleasure, my compliment's to the chef.
