Saki Bar and Food Emporium – CityAVOID! We arrived on a Saturday for a 6pm, pre-theatre reservation to find the place was being decorated (read - painted) for xmas. The gentlemen sitting next to us was startled to find paint all over his hand (thought it was blood at first). My wife and I surveyed ourselves and thought we were lucky. The adjacent table also found paint on their hands. In the light of day the next morning i found that we had not escaped unscathed - i had some red paint on my jacket. I called the restaurant to ask for them to cover my dry cleaning bill - cleaners obviously won't gaurantee results with paint, but I wasn't pushing for him to replace my suit! I asked for the Manager. He was quite RUDE and LIED by saying the painting was done earlier in the week. From his response I do not think that I was his first complaint call of the day! Don't take a chance when there are so many great pre-theatre options in the Strand area!
Salieri – StrandTerrible dinner
Pasha – Islingtonvery very good nice atmosphere decent pricing yummy food
Hong Kong City Restaurant – South LondonThis was the best Indian meal that I have probably ever had, we will be back on our next visit to London.
Spices – IslingtonI was unsure about going to Salieri as I had booked over the internet and had read mixed reviews. However this restaurant is very charming, the decor is extravagant based on the theme of theatre and quite impressive - plenty to look at! Also, the background music was all theatrical classical music, some opera and some classical which was very relaxing and a welcome change. I found the waiters were very attentive, they made the occasion very pleasant with their humour and service. Also, the price we paid for the standard of food was exceptional! We had two courses for 9.95, of which were well presented and very tasty and the desserts were not overpriced which meant we could sneak in an extra course and barely notice on the bill. This was an all round enjoyable afternoon lunch, my mother, sister and I left feeling very content! I highly recommend it.
Salieri – Strandpoor bar
Bar Kaz – MayfairWhat a great place!! I have heard so many great reviews about Signor Sassi, but have never been in Knightsbridge long enough to be able to sample the exquisite food on offer. I wish I had found the time sooner now! The place was just magical! The restaurant looks beautiful, and is full of happy faces, which is so nice nowadays. The staff were just a pleasure - they were authentic Italian in their banter, and I loved hearing Donato singing! The food was something special - I highly recommend you have a starter and a main, as eating just one item from the menu would be a shame. Definitely a delightful gem in Knightsbridge - but make sure you book though - it got very busy indeed!
Signor Sassi – Belgravia and PimlicoFound this restaurant to be excellent value for money with exceptional choice of food which was beautifully presented. The service was fantastic and the waiters very attentive and good humoured. The cost of the lunch menu was 2 courses for £8.95 and 3 courses for £9.95. Returned with friends for a "girls reunion lunch" and the waiters were even more attentive!!! I can highly recommend this restaurant.
Salieri – Strandthis restaurant was amazing. had such a cosy atmosphere with an authentic feel and served delicious quality food at a reasonable price (the complementary nachos were very cute and yummy!). the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. i will definitely be coming back here again!
Exquisite – North Londonpoor service and quality
Grange, The – South LondonAfter waiting one and a half hours we left as we had still not received ANY food. On top of that, the restaurant made us pay for all the wine even though it had not been drunk. Do not go...
The Oxford – North LondonThis place is fantastic. Was there last Friday and could barely get in the place, and little wonder. They run two menus: bar and restaurant, both equally as impressive from what I could see. Plus a specials board that I’m reliably told by a local friend of mine changes on a regular basis. Classy restaurant set-up on the first floor and laid back ground floor bar. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was great. I had the rabbit pie, my partner the turbot. Desserts were divine. Excellent value for money when you consider some of the ingredients they are using. Have already booked my place for Christmas. Highly recommend.
Prince Albert – Camden TownBenn dining at this establishment for nearly 15 years. Had to relocate to canary wharf so do not visit it as often. But they never disappoint when i go. The food is outstanding. I hear they are changing the menu now and adding a few signature dishes. Jhal Piazi is the best in town. Will be going back for more!
Dil Chad – East LondonErebuni Restaurant is one of those places where you are surprised that such a place could be so fun and where the food is so surprisingly good, when compared to other Russian or Eastern restaurants. The prices are worth the quality the restaurant provides. I think if you are up for something new, this is the place to go - especially if you are planning a party!
Erebuni – Bayswater and Paddingtonvery good
