Took the wife for valentines dinner, lovely food, good portions. Could have done with background music. Overall a very good evening.

Food was exceptional. Both steaks were cooked to perfection. Excellent choice of cocktails and the staff were wonderful too, really helpful and polite. 10/10, would definitely recommend.

Three of us were at the Ravelston for lunch yesterday and we all enjoyed it very much. One of us chose a vegetarian option, one had fish and chips which was delicious and my choice was Balmoral chicken which was really tasty and the vegetables were properly cooked but not too hard which can be very tricky.

1st visit will definitely be back - nice welcoming and competent staff - prompt service and tasty food washed down with a few cocktails - great venue

Was here for the first time on Saturday with my boyfriend and I can say we are disappointed. Our starter and main courses were absolutely delicious and the steak were cooked to perfection. The staff were also really friendly and attentive. Overall the experience especially for first time customer was amazing and are hoping to be back soon.

Very disappointed. Food was average. I had a burger that was very very dry. When I arrived there was no-one around. A cleaner went to find someone for me. The waitress didn't want to be there. When I asked for forks to go with the spoons for our dessert, she clattered them down on the table without a word. We had to catch a different server to order coffee and go to find someone in order to get our bill. There were 4 of us and it cost £30 each before tip. I won't be back

I have been to the ravelston on numerous occasions and its been brilliant. However recently I've been and I am very disappointed in the food. The dessert were very poor to be honest. I had sticky toffee and it was like half a slice of bread with very little sauce. My friend had a cheesecake which came in a prosecco glass. Certainly not how we imagined it would come. The presentation and portions for what you pay for is very disappointing. I'd like to say it can be made better as it used to be a good place for lunch and dinner.

The atmosphere is very calm and welcoming , the food is amazing especially the mozzarella dippers and the steaks ! All the staff are lovely always making sure everything is okay. I would definitely recommend to anyone and will be back again.

Been here many times before a show or concert. The staff are courteous at all times. Making sure everything is fine and to our liking Steak pie and homemade chips are just the best

Lovely lunch with new menu. Food well presented and delicious. I understand that the Express menu meals are smaller but they looked lost on the large plates. Perhaps smaller plates would be an idea. Staff very attentive

Very disappointed with Express menu. Poor choice for 3 pensioners. Fish and chips ok. Chicken pie was not pie. Tiny bit of pastry on top of stew. No choice of sweet only choc tart which none of us wanted. Asked for scoop of ice cream but none available. Offered tea or coffee for 3rd course. We had 3 soda and limes which were over £7. Wont be back. Only good thing was the pleasant dining room and atmosphere.

Amazing food and brilliant service. First time visiting but will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone. Brilliant location for theatre as well. Food was delicious and hot. All staff that we had any dealing with where all very friendly and helpful. Service was quick. We couldn’t find any faults with our time there.

Food was lovely, and staff were very friendly and helpful but I think there just wasn’t enough staff on as everything was SO SLOW. Our soup came before our drinks even arrived, we had to leave halfway through our mains as we were going to the theatre (as were about half the other tables in the place - the table next to us were in the same position in that they had to chase up where their food was as they had to leave so didn’t get to enjoy it). It took about 10 minutes before we were even seated when we first arrived as well.

We ate at Steak & Cherry last night and it's easily one of the best meals I've ever had if not the best! We ordered drinks then the chateaubriand. Service was quick, staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The steak just melted in the mouth. For sides we had mash and onion rings which were both delicious and we got some free chips from the chef too - thanks! The price is very reasonable especially for what we ordered and we cannot wait to go back!!
