A great place to come and see a film or just hang out in the cafe/bar in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Serving traditional and International food from light snacks to full meals including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

I had quick visit, haddock supper very good. Lived in New Deer Main street while ago, best luck.

The Kings Lodge has extremely gone down hill for me. The chicken was gooey and spongy in the curries and the soup tasted like water. The prawn crackers were greasy, you could taste food of other food as if its been crossed cooked! The coke was £2.60 for a glass and it tasted like syrup. They also tried to charge me for my one year old son who only had ice cream. I went there for my partners birthday and It was a complete waste of time and money. I will never ever return!

The rudest customer service I have possibly experienced. The woman who answered the phone was sharp impatient and rude when asked if they delivered. she then handed the phone to a foreign man. When I asked the price of a pizza, who was just as impolite and rude so much so that I politely hung up on them...the last of my service for here.

Mcginty’s – Highlands

Very poor food was mediocre and flies all over the place, would send you pics of the flies. Sad attempt at trying to be a restaurant.

Miller & Carter Cramond Brig – Edinburgh

I went to the Chaophaya Glasgow about six times but last time on 15 of June 2014 not very good because I saw broken plate I can't believe my favourite restaurant. You should have a check before service please . I still like this restaurant .

Chaophraya – Glasgow

Tried this chippy at the weekend. Delivery was prompt and hot and food first class. Exactly the service I was hoping for.

Our family stayed at the Crieff Hydro the first weekend in May. We were all extremely impressed and surprised at how good it was. It is a huge property but runs like clockwork. The Crieff Hydro is particularly good if you have kids as their creche facility is first class. This allows the adults to enjoy the fine restaurants and spa facilities without their screaming bairns. All 3 restaurants were excellent, a fine dining option, a brasserie and pizza and pasta joint. Service was friendly and professional. Incredible to think the hotel has 500 staff and it all runs smoothly. Will return and will recommend to others.

What a find! Comrie may sit in the midst of the glorious Perthshire countryside but it’s never going to win a prettiest village award. So our expectation weren’t terribly high as we strolled around looking for a spot of lunch. But we stepped through the doors of the Royal Hotel and it literally took our breath away. What a beautiful place it is, more like an upmarket French auberge than the pub we were expecting. The food was very good too and in fact the whole place was so impressive that we came back the next day for Sunday lunch with my mother.

Have been on three occasions and it is simply the best Chinese food I've eaten. The soft-shell crab is out of this world. The building and the decor is quirky and whilst the service is a bit haphazard and slow, this doesn't take away from the experience. It is a guaranteed booking whenever I am with my daughter (9) in Edinburgh. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Karens Unicorn – Edinburgh

Seriously old fashioned. Dining like this surely a thing of the past - the dining room is silent except for whispering at adjacent tables (but easy to hear if interested!). The three course meal is set and served exactly when the kitchen says so - not exactly either relaxed or exciting. However the food quality is of a standard to be expected from a named chef - but making a set meal, served when the chef decides (for six covers at an April weekend) is not exactly pressurised cooking. Final comment - don't expect the usual hotel breakfast (size etc) if staying overnight - the haddock and poached egg portion size was a joke!

Boath House – Highlands

We find Guilianos the best Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. We had our Golden Wedding celebration there and also my 80th birthday there. The staff are very helpful and cannot do enough for you. We also go with our family and on our own at times. First class.

Beware of reheated chips at opening time ! Any other time food is excellent. Shame they do that to save waste. It kills a good name.
