Went to a gig here on Saturday night and all i can say is WOW, what a fantastic gig and what a fantastic pub.Because of the gig they only had a buffet menu on, but the food was still lovely and very filling. Couldn't fault the friendly professional service either. Next time I'm in the area I'll try to come back and sample the proper menu. :-)

Shandwicks – EdinburghHi just to say that i go in to the Leven Bay Cafe all the time and I feel its the best in the town for cleaness and pleasent staff and the food is very good as well Tonys a good boss as well as his jokes sometimes are a laugh to.

The Royal Burgh Cafe – Argyll and ButeService from waiters was fine and unobtrusive , but the best part in any restaurant for me is the food, and it delivered and hit the spots. A new take on my favourite eggplant dish and a homemade ravioli, and an exotic lemongrass and honey ice cream made there too and all washed down with a very palatable pinot grigio. Was in Edinburgh for the rugby and enjoyed both my game and night out before heading back to the big smoke. Will be back as up on business next month

Italian Kitchen – EdinburghBought a curry last week chicken handi had it delivered asked for very hot which it was and truly delicious. Went back this evening to order personally complimented about previous meal and asked for same again. Disappointed would be an understatement the meal was mild to medium and the last thing I said was make it as hot as you like. So either it was a different chef or I was just lucky first time. Anyway will try one more time but don't hold out much hope.
Balajee Spice – PerthLooked fine on entering, sat down and ordered a beer. this is where it went down hill, the beer was tepid and did not taste very nice. the food was ok for the price, though never really gave that Italian feeling. cant say i will return anytime soon.
Vespbar – GlasgowWe've had friends from the States tell us that Wisharts is on par with the French Laundry. We've had friends from London say, as per mikey, above, that Wisharts is comparable to any in London. We decide to save up and visit ourselves; we went, we ate, he conquered. Simply stunning food.
Martin Wishart – Edinburghjust back from snooks , and still hungry, ordered fillet steak and started laughing when the brought it over asked where the rest of it was to be told that it shrinks when cooked husband was glad he asked for the bigger t bone, the service was really bad had to go up to the bar and ask for drinks, clear the table and sweet menu all at separate times never got offered tea or coffee was fed up waiting paid the bill when leaving, would not waste my money have been in a lot better places for less money and better service the place could do with a make over to make more modern seem to be stuck in the 80s with red carpet and nicer table wear sorry wont be back

Andy’s Golden Fry Fish and Chips – Argyll and ButeHad a lovely meal 2nite with my husband, daughter and 2 sons. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a groupon voucher 4 2 of the meals with deserts which were excellent value 4 money but whoever dished out the ice-cream for the desert that we paid £4.94 for should be ashamed of themselves!! There wasn't even enough to fill a cone, no cream, no sauce no sprinkles and served in a bowl that looked like it came from your old granny's kitchen!! Boo-hoo Snooks!!

DJ playing old school tunes and doesn't take itself too seriously. Good end of night venue, although probably better to be slightly inebriated on arrival.
Kilty Kilty – Argyll and ButeMy wife and I had lunch with David Irvine of Drum Castle in July of this year. On the wall was a winter scene of Drum Castle. I would love to have a Copy of that Print. I am collecting prints of Drum and would like to add that one to my collection. Could you contact the lady that painted it with this information and get back or have her get back to me? We really enjoyed our visit with David and more enjoyed our lunch at Irvine Arms.
Irvine Arms – AberdeenCopperwheats bistro was an undiscovered treasure. I often visit the island but have never known copperwheats existed. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal. We were staying at a near by hotel yet we dined at copperwheats every night of our stay. I thoroughly recommend copperwheats.
