Hogs Head, The – AbergavennyBright and clean pub with large beer garden and childrens play area in a peaceful area of South Wales. Good selection of nicely cooked food and friendly helpful staff. Part of barn conversion which includes b&b and holiday cottages.
Hogs Head, The – Abergavennygood choice on the extensive menu. well presented with great service to match. The sweets are to die for . the chocolate brownie with triple choc home made ice cream is a must. A very good all round eating out experience at any time.
The Hardwick – AbergavennyThe place itself does not look much, but the food is simply out of this world! If you can look beyond the design of the menus and go with an open mind, you will be blown away! Seriously excellent food for a modest cost.....Steak was £9.50 etc If you visit the Black Mountains or the Brecons, make sure you visit the Corn Exchange!
Corn Exchange Inn – AbergavennyI have eaten here on many occasions with my partner and with friends. The food is excellent and the service is second to none. The staff are always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The menu offers a wide choice and I have enjoyed all the dishes I have had there.

The Dragons Head – AbergavennyWhile i was away in South Wales on holiday, i was lucky enough to come across an incredible restaurant called the Hardwick. It can be found on the old Raglan Road leaving Abergavenny. Unpretentious, lovely atmosphere, delightful service and the most delicious food. I highly recommend a visit.
The Hardwick – AbergavennyFood Top Class. Service Second to none. Staff couldn? be any friendlier. I would recommend The Red Loin to anyone who wants great food in a proper country pub. A1.
Red Lion – AbergavennyI would recommend the vine tree the meals are a good size and everything is beautifully cooked with tastes to die for. My mouth is watering thinking about it.
Vine Tree Inn – AbergavennyWe have twice had lunch here with friends once on a Saturday and once on a Sunday. The food was fantastic and we loved the place, but it was completely deserted on both occasions, which was slightly weird. Failed to understand this. Would recommend it highly.
La Brasseria Italiana – AbergavennyA party of us ate here last night, and even the most reticent non-foodies had to admit that it was quite outstanding. The setting, staff, talent, inspiration and hard work were a delight to experience. Children were catered for effortlessly. An exquisite menu, including Braised Oxtail, the memory of which will linger long, and a Hot Chocolate Fondant dessert, the stuff of which dreams are made. Congratulations to Justin, Kate, Claire, Cyril and Christophe. If you're looking for a special evening out and don't want the fuss of travelling to and from a large city, then head for Abergavenny. This town, much to many people's surprise, is more than 'markets and mountains'. At present it houses a gem of a restaurant. Hurry and try it.
La Brasseria Italiana – AbergavennyFantastic hosts, great atmosphere. As a traditional public house should be. Food cooked from fresh produce. Great choice of beers & wines. Made to feel really welcome. I will be making a visit again soon
