I would recommend The Lux Garden to anyone.....It is I would say the BEST Chinese restaurant in Liverpool....Fantastic service, fabulous food. I have been coming here for years with family and friends. Consistently good.

"Bad staff and under cooked food, very poor!" I have been to Pergo before on a family members birthday and really enjoying the food. Myself and my girlfriend decided to call in for a quick bite for lunch on a Sunday. BIG MISTAKE!!!! The place was empty except for two other couples. We where greeted by a grumpy waiter and when we told him we had a Taste Card proceeded to lecture us on how we should of pre-booked. We did not know this, but too be fair this was true. A friendly next time could you please book in advance would not of bothered us, but too be lectured by an angry waiter in an empty restaurant is just pathetic. Still we ordered our pizzas and two full price drinks. When the pizza came they where under cooked and sloppy. As my girlfriend had a pizza last time we where in and it was lovely, I can only put this down to us having the Taste Card and a staff not being bothered. And to top things off when we asked for the bill we where lectured again by the waitress. People say when you have a good meal experience you tell one person and if you have a bad experience you tell ten. Well rest assured I will be telling everyone I know about my Sunday lunch in Prego.

Went to this restaurant with my wife on Saturday night - the food was really good, starters were oil/balsamic and bread, ribs and antipasto misto, mains were fillet steak and king prawn (surf and turf) and a bouillabaisse. The food couldn't have been better - excellent flavours and fresh. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The bill was reasonable and I felt that the venue was a good choice - I would definitely return. I suppose its the quality of the food that makes or breaks any restaurant - and this place was 'made' by the food I ordered. I would recommend this to all!!

I visited Prego New Years Eve 2010 with my partner 2 friends and our 2 toddlers. We ordered a bowl of olives and bread to start. 4 main courses of steak 3 with prawns 'surf and turf' There is a £4 difference if you order the steak with prawns. When the main arrived i was shocked at the stinginess of the prawns. I had 3 tiny prawns on my plate not worth eating. They still had that horrible brown line in the back of them which i can only assume is waste! We waited a good 5-10 mins for the side dish to accompany the steak by the time it arrived most of us had eaten at least half of the steak and one had almost all of it! When it did arrive it was one bowl of vegetables between 2. Nowhere near enough. The green beans were over cooked the potatoes were vile and the broccoli and carrots were cold. I normally prefer chips etc with a steak but we were not offered any alternatives upon ordering. We also ordered a bowl of pasta for the children to share which was ok. After our main we ordered 2 deserts of profiteroles. This consisted of 2 profiteroles yes 2!!! on a plate with a shot glass of cream. looked good but for £5 each I would expect more than 2! We also ordered the children a bowl of ice cream. Along with the food we had a glass of wine / coke / pint of fosters and a bottle of peroni. The bill come to £170. £85 per couple. A lot considering we left hungry!!! Very expensive for what you get. Not worth the hard earned money we paid for it. Low quality food. Mediocre service. No atmosphere. Disappointing new years eve and wasted money! Would definitely not recommend and I will definitely not be returning ever again. There are far too many lovely restaurants in Liverpool don't waste your money here!!

I celebrated my 40th birthday with all my family at Prego. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Starters and main courses were delicious and well presented. Staff were very helpful and considerate and nothing was too much trouble. They presented the cake that we had brought with a musical accompaniment and a complimentary drink (shot) for the birthday boy. We will definitely come again as our family were very impressed with the whole dining experience.

i would not recommend prego i went with my husband and some friends for a celebration the service was terrible we also had to ask for drinks etc no body came to us also i had a spoon with thick chocolate fudge cake which had obviously been used given to me when i told the waiter he thought it was extremely funny that i had already put it into my meal he then asked if i would like a new spoon even though the dirty one had been in my meal we paid the bill in total for all of our group and left it really spoilt our night

We have had two Saturday evenings at Prego in the last month and on both occasions we had a wonderful time with excellent food served by attentive and knowledgeable staff. The a la carte menu is great but try the specials, I had monkfish wrapped in pancetta and served with a white wine and grape sauce, and on the other occasion red snapper with a spicy mexicana sauce which was equally superb.

Delicious pasta cooked to perfection in an oasis of calm and sophistication. Very friendly staff, and we will return soon. A cut above anything else found locally.

Pregos restaurant in Aintree - The Management are sooooo arrogant. When I complained about my colleagues and my meal he was the rudest man you could meet and said that is how the staff talk to customers in his restaurant - aghast - I would strongly advise against going the this restaurant.
