A warm welcome but unfortunately the food didn't live up to expectations! Tagines were ordinary and the mixed Souk grill was sadly not at all good. It was lukewarm and unfortunately the chicken kebab was inedible with a peculiar flavour which makes us worry what the side effects may be let you know tomorrow!!

Very disappointed with 1st visit to Scalinis. Admittedly, it was a busy Saturday night but service was slow, over half hour for starters to arrive and main course came 3/4hr later. Food only mediocre and no apology from staff for delay. Don't think we'll be going back.

Superb cafe / eatery. Have eaten here for a number of years for breakfast or lunch, standard is excellent and never fails. Service always pleasant. Food is just amazing and hearty portions provided. very reasonable pricesVery small room so sometimes a bit cramped, not really suitable to take pushchairs.

A true Italian restaurant with great food in the old Pagliacci's premises. On our last visit four of us shared 3 starters; calamari, scallops and deep fried mushrooms and mains of pasta.

Yara is a lovely little restaurant. Service is great, and the food is very tasty. Recommend their Babaghanoush starter, Fattoush salad and their mixed kebab(you get chicken, shish and kaftah kebab)! Keep going back to Yara because food is excellent! Very fresh and tasty! I'm sure this place will stay around for years as it has a great location and right...

I found the staff to be lovely, the portions were great and the quality of food out of this world. I will be becoming a regular now without a doubt. Lovely tasteful food

I visited the Double Tree for the first time for my birthday on Saturday 28 April. I had heard good reports about it and I can say that none of it is hype or comments by employees. It's all true! It has genuinely quality Indian food. The best you would find outside India. They have some lovely touches on customer service too. On my list of favourite restaurants.

Excellent food and service.Restaurant is clean and bright.Unfortunately marred by tobacco smoke drifting into restaurant from smokers congregating around the front doorway to the hotel.

I really like the way you have refurbished the pub, its modern but cosy at the same time and i look forward to eating there in the future.

Tried it couple of weeks back and to be honest did not have great expectations on the food side. Was really impressed though and this is one of the best curries I've had for a long time (including in Rusholme!). Flavour and quality was excellent on the four dishes our party ordered and the service was really good. Will definitely go again.

Upon arriving at The swan with Two Knicks i was impressed with the old building and location. We were kindly greeted and told to find a table. But from there it went downhill. My partner and i both ordered for starters Chorizo with potatoes. It came in a bowl covered in some spicy sauce that was so bland. The chorizo was semi warm and just made your jaw ache trying to chew it. Ive eaten chorizo in South America and their was no comparision. For my main course i chose Cajun Chicken in Pitta Pockets and this was even worse. It tasted like the same bland sauce as the starter. I would compare it to a cheap tesco sauce in a jar. My partner had cheese and onion pie and asked before if it came with a sauce or gravy to which she was told no. So she asked for some gravy with it. When it arrived it was already smothered in a cheese sauce. When cutting into it the pastry was soggy and grey and looked disgusting. The waitress the poor girl asked if everything was ok to which i said no and she called the manager over. The manager said the reason my cajun sauce was bland was because the chef thought it may of been too hot for me so toned it down. WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME!!!!!. And worse still the chef and waitress had had a conversation between them about whether my partner wanted cheese sauce, gravy or both and decided both again WITHOUT ASKING HER. We were offered a free desert but were already disgusted so declined. Worse still upon getting the bill we then found we were charged £1:50 for a tiny jug of watered down gravy. Utterly disgusted

I had a lamb madras, chapati and seek kebab take-away. I did not enjoy it one bit. Very lacking in flavours and too much oil in the curry. The chapati was not the good and there were virtually no flavours to the seek kebab. It was far too over-priced. . I will not go again or recommend.

Took my parents and inlaws out for a birthday celebration on a Saturday night. Even before knowing that we were celebrating a special occasion the staff made us feel like a million dollars. All the food was beautiful - I particularly recommend the monkfish provencal and the veal romana. And then to top it all, it transpires that the owners wife is a member of an acapella choir - the Cheshire Chord Company (www.cheshirechord.co.uk if you are interested - I looked them up afterwards!) and when were having a private party downstairs. When they found out that my mother was celebrating her birthday they came upstairs to give an impromptu rendition of Happy Birthday, and then their version of Rihanna's "Umbrella". The rest of the guests in the restaurant were just as enthralled as us by the amazing sound and clearly thrilled to have a mini concert feature as part of their meal experience. I am sure this wouldn't happen every night, but it was indicative of just how much this restaurant is determined to make every effort to ensure its customers feel special.

Went last night for a mid week treat as we had seen it as it was being built and thought it looked quite nice. It was absolutely lovely - the food was extremely flavoursome and the menu has a huge choice of different curries and flavours that you wouldn't see in bog standard, including dishes with sea bass,m monkfish, salmon, pheasant and venison! Spoilt for choice. The flavours were lovely, even the raita that came with the poppadoms hd a unique flavour and the marinated meat was tender, melt in the mouth! We all had different main dishes, which all had individual styles, flavours and appearances. The staff were very friendly and attentive, offered us a complimentary drink at the end and also gave the two ladies a rose each! All in all, a lovely setting with exceptional food. By far one of best curries we have had in a long time. Would recommend without a doubt, and hope that they make a success of it - so everyone get down there!
